They show off their golden children (primarily ADCs) any chance they get. This includes Darius, Kayn, Galio, Blitzcrank and Thresh (the only two supports Riot likes), and a small handful of others. They heavily prefer to showcase AD champs over AP (they have right-click power for consistent e-sports action), but whenever they feel forced to include a mage in something, they typically turn to either Lux or Orianna.

Riot's not going to do anything with Ivern because he doesn't provide the constant big plays like their precious golden children do. I know the feeling as a Malzahar main (pre-rework). Very interesting characters, but if they don't provide the e-sports big plays, gotta keep them obscure and taboo.

I like her as a character, too. That's not the problem with me. It's just that Riot has been putting her in just about every promotional image and video they can, even when it's not appropriate.

Perfect example is the recent KayPea animation Riot made. She's a mid-laner who mains mages, but Riot decided for the streamer spotlight video, she's a bot lane Jinx main, who also has large, framed pictures of Jinx and Blitzcrank on the wall in her room. The only thing that's actually about her in the video is the literal one second in the beginning where she's shown, except it's still only half-accurate because of the aforementioned wall pictures. Anything to show off more Jinx, I guess.

I already understood why Riot uses her so much. It was the same thing when they went through their Miss Fortune phase right before Jinx. Just wanted to clarify.

The fact we have around 140 champs now makes it even more depressing. More than half the roster never gets any time in the spotlight, not counting skin or rework login screens.
