The Tales of the Kindred Act 1: If I could teach the world to sing Episode 7: Death will not be defied
(Lamb, Wolf, and Bard were following the same trail Lamb and Wolf had taken earlier to find Karthus. Lamb led the way, her arrow of true death shining in her hand. Bard was behind her, and Wolf was behind Bard, looking at all the little meeps following Bard.
: What're these little critter things following Bard?
: ... ...
: He says they're called Meeps. They don't seem to like me much.
: ... ...
: Bard says that 4 of them think you're scary, 2 of them think you're going to eat them, and 1 of them is allergic to dogs. I like the sound of that. Behave Wolf, don't go antagonizing our helper's...helpers.
: (Wiggles as if he's laughing)...
(Lamb stopped them suddenly. Wolf perked up his ears and listened carefully. They could barely hear Karthus's song, the death singer already practicing his song for the battle he knew was coming.)
: How did he know we were on our way back to fight him?
: ... ...
: What?! You let us walk right by a 
and didn't say anything?!
: ... ...
: Hey, watch your tone there. Don't make me report you after this. What he say? You don't want to know Wolf.
(They walked ahead into the clearing where Karthus was. His song had called nearly all of the souls from his book, who now enshrouded him like a ghastly aura.)
: Death has returned again, but we fear no arrow or fang they bring. Our song will be heard throughout Runeterra and beyond.
: Not if we play a song of life to block out your song. If you would please Bard.
: (with a bow) ...
(Bard raised his flute to his mask and began to play. Gold dust floated from his flute as he played and floated toward Karthus. Karthus began to sing stronger, the souls around him gaining more and more power. Lamb at first thought it was going to go easily until the souls began to absorb the gold dust from Bard's music.)
: Yes! Keep playing! Your music is the perfect addition to make my song complete! Words and music to guide all of humanity into the beautiful existence of undeath!
: Bard's music isn't working! It's only feeding Karthus more! (Suddenly, Wolf had an idea. He noticed all of the meeps just sitting by Bard listening to his song. Wolf floated over to one and snarled at it. The meep ran off screaming. The others turned to see what scared their comrade, and seeing the scary Wolf growling at them, they all ran away in a panic.)
: ! ... ...
: What's this? Shut up you little cretins! You're disrupting my song! (The meeps continued running around and screaming, and Wolf snapped at a couple to make them shout even louder. The aura around Karthus began to fade as his concentration on his song began to break.)
: Now Wolf! (Wolf lunged at Karthus and bit down on Karthus's staff, yanking it from his hands. Kindred tossed her arrow of true death up, readied another arrow and shot Karthus's book from his hand. She then caught her falling arrow, pulled it to string, and fired. The arrow pierced Karthus's chest.)
: NOOO! MY SONG! MY SONG IS NOT COMPLETE! (Dark energy blasted away from Karthus, leaving a thin man in dark robes. Robes that the Tallymen of Kindred wore back in Noxus. He fell to his knees, and reached up to the heavens before falling dead.)
: We did it! We did it! Thank you so much for your help Bard.
: ... ... (Opens a magical journey and leaves, his meeps dashing through quickly.)
: He didn't seem happy. He had a few...choice...things to say about you Wolf... Now we can take the souls in Karthus's book to the afterlife.
(They turned to collect the book, but instead saw a green bone lantern floating over the book. The pages were flipping furiously, as all the souls inside were being absorbed into the lantern.)
: Oh no you don't! After him Wolf!
