The Tales of the Kindred Epilogue: This Island is My Land, this Island is not Your Land.
(Shortly after the defeat of Mordekaiser, Maokai and Yorick mananged to dig up the Fountain of Life, purify its waters, and dig streams throughout the island to let the fountain's waters reach all parts of the island. Maokai was now walking along one stream, planting saplings as he went.)
: Take root by the river, little ones, and one day we'll have the island covered in great green foliage once more. He then tossed a sapling to a spot nearby, but then a vine lashed out and grabbed the sapling and lifted it toward a great flowering plant. The plant reached out with a strange maw and devoured the sapling.)
: What?! What is this treachery on my island!
: Your island? Who ever said this was going to be your island? (Zyra struts out from behind the great carnivorous plant and then leans against it.)
: I was here to do all the work to purify the island, so I am taking charge of replanting sapling to restore the island.
: Oh please, you did about as much work to restore the island as Tahm Kench. The whole time Kindred was fighting the Shadow Isles' Lords, you stayed solid and still like an old scaredy-cat tree.
: Don't you sass me girl. I'll crush you and your little vine plants with my trunk arm.
: Bring it bark boy! (Extends two vine whips from both hands. They take two steps toward each other to fight when a strange shriek comes from nearby. They look and see one of Zyra's flowering plants being swarmed and devoured by several small spiders.)
: Spiders in my graden! Glad I brought pesticide with me.
: Your garden? I never said you could have a garden on my island. (Elise appears from the woods, her spiderlings clearing a way for her.)
: (rolls eyes) And why do you think it's your island wench?
: Umm, easy. I destroyed Mordekaiser's bones so Kindred could kill him. So I essentially killed the lord of the island, that makes me the new master of the island.
: Well, she did do more than you did Maokai.
: And as Lady of the island now, I'll let you stay and plant your saplings Maokai. My spiders need great trees to spin their webs in after all. But Zyra, you've got to go.
: What?! Why does he get to stay?
: Because he isn't a ravishing beauty like yourself that would compete with my beautiful self.
: Hey, is that some backhanded way of saying I'm ugly?!
: Sure sounded like it to me Maokai. (Maokai flexes his great thick arm.)
: I'll crush you like the spider you are. (Starts to approach Elise when tall grass shoots up to Maokai's nose.)
: La la la la la, plant the grass, make it grow, up up up it goes. (Casually runs by, creating patches of high grass as he runs.)
: ... ... (Ivern leaves out of sight, and Maokai sneezes, blowing the grass sideways.)
: Right, back to fighting each other.
: Actually Maokai, wouldn't it be us fighting her? You want to fight her cause she said you're ugly, I want to fight her to put some scars on that face.
: Me, work with you? Bah. (Zyra reached over with her vine and pulled herself onto Maokai's great arm. She laid down on it and looked at Maokai with sweet eyes.)
: C'mon Maokai, why not help a pretty little flower like me? I'm sure we can agree on something for the island.
: Well... Maybe.
: This isn't going as planned... (Zyra leapt over to Maokai's other shoulder, and lashed out with her vines at Elise.)
: Get her! (Maokai let out a booming shout and began to charge. Elise quickly shifted to her spider form and began running.)
: ... sounds like an earthquake. Eh, none of my business. More brushmaking to do.
(Hmm, the sales time didn't move back an hour with DST ending. Note to self written.)
Author's note: I may not have a story next Monday. This is the end of the Tales of the Kindred, and I'll have to think of a new storyline.
