Make the most of the season with the Worlds Pass and earn unlimited Worlds Tokens across all events. Start off with an icon, four orbs, and 200 tokens, then earn tokens in two ways exclusive to Worlds Pass holders:

  • For every Worlds Pass First Win of the Day (15 tokens per day).
  • For every match based on your performance grade, the map mode, and whether you saw victory or defeat (visit the FAQ for a breakdown)

With the Worlds Pass’s unlimited token earn rate, you also have the best shot at earning the new K/DA Kai’Sa (Prestige Edition) skin.

Deciding to buy later? Don’t worry; we'll stash the tokens you would have earned (excluding missed Worlds Pass First Wins of the Day) for you to claim upon purchase.

Team Revenue Share

This year we are increasing the amount of custom game content that allows you to directly support specific teams. We’re also changing the way we distribute revenue from the Championship skin and ward. As in previous years, 25% of all revenue will be available for teams who qualify for the event. This year, only half of this amount (12.5%) will be distributed based on tournament performance. The remaining portion (12.5%) will be distributed equally between all teams who qualify for the event. Qualifying for Worlds is an enormous achievement and we want to further recognize and reward all teams who make it to the event. Teams that win the World Championship will continue to be recognized with custom skins from which they will receive a portion of the revenue as well.

  • What is in a Worlds 2018 Orb and Spooky Position Orb?

    Worlds 2018 Orb

    • 1 random skin shard
    • 15% chance to obtain bonus orange essence equivalent to the upgrade cost
    • 1.5x multiplier to Gemstone and Mythic skin drop rates

    Spooky Position Orbs

    • 1 random skin shard for a selected position
    • 15% Chance to obtain 2 additional skin shards for that position
    • 1.5x multiplier to Gemstone and Mythic skin drop rates

    K/DA Orb

    • 1 random skin shard
    • 4% chance of K/DA Bag that reveals three skin shards and enough orange essence to upgrade all three
    • 4% chance to obtain an additional skin shard
    • 1.5x multiplier to Gemstone and Mythic skin drop rates
  • How do borders work?

    You need to own the icon and have the skin to see the border in the loading screen. If you craft the border, you won't see it until you use the skin. You can craft the border and buy the skin later and get access to the border then.

  • What are team chat cheers and team tags?

    Team chat cheers announce your support for your favorite team in the chat box at the start of every game, while team tags show up next to your summoner name throughout the event. Chat cheers and tags appear based on the Worlds 2018 team icon you equip from team support bundles—if you equip a gold icon, your cheer and tag will appear with some golden flair.

  • How do I earn Worlds Tokens with the Worlds Pass?

    Worlds Pass holders earn tokens for:

    • every Worlds Pass First Win of the Day.
    • every match based on your performance grade, the map mode, and whether you saw victory or defeat. See the table below for a breakdown.

    Yes. You can also buy them individually.

  • Will Championship Kha’Zix and the 2018 Championship Ward be available for Hextech crafting?

    Since Championship Kha’Zix and the 2018 Championship Ward are revenue-shared with the teams attending Worlds, they won't be obtainable through Hextech crafting until the Worlds event is over on November 19, 2018 at 11:59 p.m. PT. After that time, these items will be eligible through Hextech crafting.

Event Passes again? I thought Riot learned their lesson the few times they tried having Event Passes and instead just pissed everyone off cause it means you have to literally buy your way into the event. What's worse is that unless you buy the Event Pass, you practically can't get any of the good loot from the event considering you can only get 360 Worlds Token from the normal missions, which gets you a single border or Worlds Orb. There is gonna be some backlash from this one; talk about bad decision making.

"Tons of rewards"

A ton of tokens isnt really a reward when you only get 360 of them and an orb costs 300, borders 350, chroma 400 so literally youd be grinding for 5-6 weeks before you get anything meaningful. Cant even get a Chroma if you dont pay

So what you're saying is we have to pay ~$10 to really participate in the event since you get almost no tokens without the pass (360) and even if you do it's a massive grind to get the stuff you paid for? Sounds good to me. Good luck getting that fucking Kai'sa skin unless you can play league all day. Don't get me wrong I like that the game is free but isn't this event supposed to hype Worlds not add a paywall to content?

Wait a second here... If I'm getting this right, I have to log on and do a huge amount of quests for over a month to get the maximum amount of credits available to non-pass holders, and I will be 40 credits short (or one week of quests) for even a single championship chroma? That's a bit disappointing.

Ran the math on the current store.

Subtracting the new Kha'Zix skin from this since I got it from Hextech crafting.

It would still cost:

640RP-Champion shipward 1,650RP-World Pass 1,045RP-Championship Kha'Zix 62,160RP-All Esport team Chroma Bundles.(9,360RP just for all the chromas.) 81,250RP-All World's Token collectables(Gold chromas, Borders, ward, emote, etc.)

Total=146,745RP rounding up 150,000RP approximately for everything or 1,000$USD.

Even if you were to do ALL of the missions you'd barely even be able to get any of the good rewards(Provided you have the corresponding championship skin to begin with.)

Riot I like the game, I like the content your company brings...But Jesus tap-dancing Christ...Even as a collector I have to draw the line in the sand somewhere at some point and this is definitely one of those times, these prices are just insane for a limited time only event.

More random loot boxes and tokens and other "gotcha" free-to-play marketing tricks. Really wish they went back to the days when it was "buy X content, get X content." Not "get tokens to unlock this content which then gives you a border and icon for only 550 RP more!" Just sell the content directly.

Also, this "one Chromas per team" is so silly. To get every Kha'Zix chroma it is 10920 RP (28*390). Just makes me want to get none of them since I don't fan out over a single team but prefer following specific players.

Remember when Riot used to just sell the content instead of having all these exclusive bundled content to nickle-and-dime a few more RP at every turn? I remember. Pepperidge Farm remembers. Hopefully, you remember.

This massive line of missions can only net you 1 worlds orb + enough tokens to buy a second orb... Really? After Odyssey, this feels incredibly lackluster. How greedy can you possibly be in trying to sell an Event Pass purely from the hype of Worlds and promise for A PORTION the money to go into prize pools? Not sure how you managed to disappoint people before the event even began, but here we are.

"Tons of rewards". BULLstuffing, there's almost no reward at all for people who don't no-life your game AND pay just to participate in the event. Grinding for days+ to do all those missions barely rewards anything at all, and even if you pay you have to sacrifice your soul to the game to earn stuff. I suggest getting rid of the pass entirely, or rework its benefits. Triple the token rewards across the board, maybe the pass could make it x5 from what it is now, or double the adjusted amount, and gives you a couple pass exclusive items up front (A border, an icon, an emote or two, and the current lump sum of upfront tokens).

I'm extremely disappointed Halloween content is being locked behind this same paywall + grindwall.

Aram should not give less tokens specially since its harder to earn a high rating in it due to the deaths you usually take. Unless you're constantly playing a carry role then you'll most likely be scoring A- at best. I really hate how much riot undermines ARAM games even though it still takes the same effort to win. Was ready to buy but now i definitely wont be.

I'm curious why they're PvP only, Rito has been really good as of lately with letting people complete missions in bots and stuff so not sure why the sudden change?

The pass idea is ok but if this is a response to the dota battle pass then it should do some more things. First of all it should add in some % to the worlds prize pool. Also there should be some milestones rewards when the prize pool reaches x value. And while things like the golden chromas and the prestige skin are a step in the right direction, the overall content this pass gives feels a bit bare bones, considering the dota battle pass gives access to alternate game modes, special particle effects, a card collecting system, etc. I know a lot of those things aren't possible for league and I like the idea of a worlds pass but it could definitely be fleshed out more into something that feels more like an event pass rather than "just a bunch of bundled skins you have to grind for" pass.
