Honor Capsule update delivers new drop rate

We’re adding some bad luck protection to Honor Capsules to make their drop rate more reliable. We’re also sharing the updated rules around drops because we found our lack of clarity disturbing. Here’s how Honor Capsule drops work now:

You have a chance to earn an Honor Capsule with every key fragment drop.
Your chances for getting an Honor Capsule double each week as you play games.
You’re guaranteed an Honor Capsule within two months.
Your drop rate resets after getting a capsule.
You can only earn one capsule every three weeks.

This update is now live. We’re looking forward to sharing more updates to Honor.

Soraka Thanks! I just sent a complaint a few days ago because I was so tired of never receiving capsules despite consistently earning honor and learning that a toxic player got 2 capsules in one week. I have more keys than I will EVER need. Seems like the system needed some work, so I am eager to see how this pans out!

While all of this is good. I feel like there should also be a heavy protection for those of us who've gotten all the champions. Specifically for honor capsules. As they feel pretty much the same as opening a standard box... Which is why I'm still getting champ shards out of all of em. Like... Why? Honor feels frustrating to upkeep if you are only let down at the end of it.

Getting at most 1 honor capsule every 3 weeks feels pretty bad, especially when my last one gave me an Ashe champion shard and two key fragments. I own every champion.

Are you sure that's the case? I know my sense of time might just be skewed but I could have sworn I got two within a two week margin..

...unless if that wasn't there before and that's just how the updated one works. Ignore me if that's the case.

Any word on compensating those who already had Grey Warwick and Medieval Twitch before you brought them back? Seems unfair that people who did a ton of work to get them gets nothing in return.

I hit level 5 first among my friend group, haven't gotten a single Capsule. My friend who just hit lvl 5 has gotten 4 so far since the new honor system launched.

I'm level 5 honor and i have gotten one capsule, my bf is honor level 4 and gets a capsule almost every other day. whats up with that
