Thoughts on changing support's starting item upgrade path to reward self-play without punishing the laner they're with?
For example, Targon Brace's passive now being able to execute minions without an ally there and holding charges until you temporarily bond with an ally (otherwise boosting the shield when item is complete). That way, you can prevent your laner from losing CS if they end up leaving or dying, control your healing, and can waveclear.
Just spitballing an idea but I really want to know if you guys are going to make the support role more of an active participation and only passive when you pick certain champions (like ones that would use Coin). Building into the secondary support item doesn't feel like I'm getting any stronger. Hell, Frostfang is just a race to pay off the actual item for the gold you spent for little coverage AP and MP-wise.
I think the role would definitely be more fun if you became more independent from the point of buying that second item rather than an actual full item or two. Frostfang passive not being disabled by killing minions, rewarding you with the same gold as Spellthief but more MP and AP -- things like that matter more honestly than what it gives.
