My tattoo has a story behind it, and I hope you'll stick around to here it. (Warning; feels ahead)
Constantly through all my life, I was bullied. I know a lot of people go through it and it's something that's super tough to get through. I suffered a lot of emotional abuse at home as well so I had to pile that on top of what happened at school. I really wish I could say that this happened for a short period of time but this was on going for the entire time I was in school and the parental stuff kept happening way after that. I often found myself suicidal and depressed all the time and I never really had a way to cope with my feelings and emotions.
However, when I was 20 I discovered League of Legends and I started making a lot of friends and soon I was a part of a great community who was there for me whenever I needed them and they offered a lot of support to me. During that time, I was recovering from ACL reconstruction so my day literally consisted of just playing League and chatting with my friends on Teamspeak.
Over the following months, I stumbled across this amazing champion who looked really amazing so I decided to start playing her a lot. She soon became my main and I was practicing to get really good with her. While I was playing, I heard her sayings ( I usually played with them off) and one stuck out to me. "I can be so much more!" When I heard her say that it immediately took it to heart. I realized that this character was kinda like me. She struggled with herself internally but always sought to be better and stronger. That's why I chose her. My tattoo is a symbol of not only my love for this character and the game, but it reminds me everyday that I'm not alone in my struggle and I just have to keep fighting.
(I'm also getting touch ups done on this because I ran out of time during my first sitting. I'm planning on getting her face fixed up and her orbs colored purple in a few months.)
