Make a rotation or a daily/weekly shuffle or somethng. Some of us want to play Ascension, One-for-all, URF, Doom Bots of Doom, Hexakill and King Poro Toss (whatever it was called) more than one week a year.
There's still a lot of special things you could do with the existing maps as well! Use the Crystal Scar more, make a melee only mode. Make an easter-egg hunt mode for CS or SR. Come on.

Ec251016 votesI totally agree! They should have it where at the last week of every month there is a special game-mode going all week long. Also to add on to the easter-egg hunt idea you could play One-for-all with Bard. Having more chances to play special game-modes would increase the amount of active League players. Along with that people would be more happy because they can play fun special game-modes more often!

AGladePlugin4 votesWhile yes the active League players may increase this could be seen as harmful to riots vision. They heavily want the competitive 5v5 scene to flourish. That's part of the reason they have these gamemodes. They break the monotony for some players to keep it fresh so they play for longer, along with other players firing up league after a lengthy hiatus so they play the game mode only to start enjoying the game once again and get back into the ranked scene.
As for if they were to ever put out a different game mode all the time, this would be counter intuitive to almost any company plan. Phone companies might have the next 2 or 3 generations of a phone mostly all planned out, yet they put off production until they know they've squeezed everything they can, both in profit and info, from the current gen. So riot puts out a gamemode, get the feed back and increase in player base, then they take it away so they can work on it while also funneling more people back into ranked.

Zenzak10145 votesI agree with this, however only to a certain extent. I love the special gamemodes, but they lose their 'specialness' when you have a new one every two weeks. Now, perhaps making the main special gamemodes, like Urf, Doombots, and mirror match more available during the year would be better. Like, twice a year as opposed to once.

eclipsekyd9 votesI totally agree with this. Sometimes when I play a champ for the first time, I have to see what items work best. But not until about 8 minutes into the game do I get the first interesting item. Then, by the end of your custom game, you won, but never really got any good items because(duh) it was your first time as a champ. About 2-3 games later, you finally are good at the champion(YAAAAAAY)and you can test the champion worth items. But then you look at the clock and see you've been playing for 2 hours. Please take sethmich's idea Riot.

Loki18771 votesThe reason is because it would take away from the regular game modes. I assume that is their reasoning for it since every time there is a new mode the people bring this topic up. I mean it's not from lack of the players wanting something like this. Take dominion out and cycle a different mode every week/biweekly or something imo.

There should be more permit modes,it can't be cost effective to have a mode out for a week then pulling it, plus its like being teased (Riot "Here players, here's a mode you like but you only get to play it one a year") feels like a middle finger to me... This is why casual players like myself leave for long periods of time, I know I'm not the only one, I have family and friends who feel the same way.

Ljeytl1 votesPersonally, Hexakill on TT was not my thing. But whether I liked it or not isnt the reason Im posting. I really appreciate featured gamemodes. Whether im in them or not. They seem to have some magical thing on all of my games to remove all of the toxic players and replace them with rather kind players. Maybe its bcuz all of the toxic players rather go play the featured gamemode or something, im not sure, but i feel like whenever theres a featured gamemode all of my games PARTICULARLY the ones outside of the gamemode are a lot higher in quality. Im posting becuase i jut want some feedback on these thoughts.
