Rotating game mode queue now live!

From the original clone-tastic One For All to the frenetic manatee magic of Ultra Rapid Fire, featured game modes provide unique spins on the classic League formula. It’s time to kick off the next game mode in the rotation: Legend of the Poro King is now live!

As a refresher on the mode, let’s go over the basics:

When you jump into a match, you’ll be joined by two poro pals in your quest to call forth and aid the majestic Poro King
The Poro King is a mega-classy super minion that heals your team, regenerates mana, and deals AoE damage while handing out royal beatdowns to enemy towers
The King will serve as a sieging dynamo for you until he is killed by the enemy team in a regicide most foul
Activate Poro Toss once to toss your teeny poro pal across the map, if the lil fella hits a target, you can reactivate Poro Toss to Poro Dash, which will send you soaring towards an unlucky enemy
Land 10 Poro Tosses as a team and the Poro King himself will plop down to begin his royal wreckery
Once you or your team has summoned the Poro King, activate To The King! To transform into one of the king’s loyal (fluffy) subjects and fly to his side

Don’t forget you can ping the King to coordinate sieges with him or assaults on his royal person. Just as in any rotating queue game mode, we’ve specially tuned Champion Mastery so you can earn points in the mode. You’ll also be able to earn keys for your wins and loot chests for your (or your premade’s) S-, S, and S+ games.

Legend of the Poro King is now available and lasts through the evening on Monday (we’ll shut it down very early Tuesday morning--usually between 1:00 AM and 3:00 AM).

We’ll be trying out different things with the rotating game mode queue over the next few months, changing the mode cadence or what modes are available. We’re looking for your feedback as we go, so let us know. GLHF, and we’ll see you on the snowy battlefield of Legend of the Poro King!

Which would make sense, if it were any of the modes people actually ask for.. And not one of the modes people most frequently ask not to see as much of (Still behind Hexakill in that regard, from what I've seen).

I like poro king it's playing aram, but getting to choose your own character. Yes, that defeats the purpose of ARAM, but I hardly play full games anymore so it fills my niche

I honestly feel like we all give riot too much shit for not giving us urf every second we demand it. I think we should take the time to appreciate the fact that they even do a rotating game mode queue, and that they are taking the time to try and make urf and the other game modes as balanced and as fun as possible. I think we all just need to take a chill pill and realize that Riot never promised the urf 24/7 game mode queue. Also, let's just be glad Riot cares enough to even develop game modes like urf and doom bots, they could easily just let just play on summoners rift, twisted treeline, and arram, simply giving the middle finger to different game modes. Here's to some riot love <3.

Look when you have the same shit for months you start to wish for something different. It's only normal for players to ask for URF. There's only 2 weeks out of the year where we have URF. Do you really think this is balanced?

The irony of this new system is we're actually getting URF less. At least when it was around April Fools', the queue was up for two full weeks. At the current rate, it's only going to have been up for about half the actual time it normally would have--plus a few of those days don't even fully count because they were all random. It's pretty genius: they quieted the calls to have it more often for a while at the same time they actually reduced how often they give us the game mode.

Ascension is bursty fighter/assassin the gamemode. Why would you deprive us possibly entertaining gamemodes for this.... TWICE!Well I seriously doubt you'll go back on it, but never do it again.

I don't really care that you find Urf Stagnant i just want a gamemode where i can have fun, Random urf was a bad experience because, yes its still urf but you don't feel the sanctification of not getting to play a champs that you were planning to A lot of the new players who have heard of urf have been really disappointed they rarely got to play their favorite champ in urf. Riot at this rate we're not even mad, Just Disappointed that your not allowing us to have the fun we want not what you think.

Can we please have URF or nexus siege? It's really annoying to keep playing the same game mode over and over again. I've been playing since season 2, I've played all game modes. But the new players can get bored from playing the same game modes. This is one of the reasons why people are leaving league.

people on here keep complaining about every game mode they bring im sure if they bring urf every week we would start complaining saying bring back poro king or ascension we cant get urf every week urf is the best game mode that y theyn give it such a long break in between what i really want back is the bilgewater event
