There are only a few champions in the game that are truely bad, and Sona is definitely not one of them. She is not as strong as she used to be, with the limitations to her auras and all, but she still brings a lot of utility to the team.

You seem to have forgotten that she died in patch 4.13. Over half of the players that would have bought her if that didn't happen, will not. Considering they said yesterday that the returns on ultimate skins are low, I'm almost certain they're losing A LOT of profit because of Fearless' actions.

I'm torn. I was a Sona main before 4.13, and I hate what they did to her. I haven't played her nearly as much since. On the other hand, this is a sexy as hell skin, and I REALLY don't want to change my mind later and have to pay full price. But then again, 25% isn't as great of a reduction as usual. It might be worth holding on to the RP anyway.

So why is this ultimate 2450 RP for its initial sale on release? Spirit Guard Udyr was 1950 Rp on the initial release a year ago (http://forums.na.leagueoflegends.com/board/showthread.php?t=3666574) Even Pulse Fire Ezreal was only 1625 RP for its initial release 2 years ago (http://promo.leagueoflegends.com/pulsefire-ezreal/en.html). Why are ultimate skins costing more and more every year during the initial "sale" on release?

Udyrs skin was like 9 skins in one. One for his base skin without using an ability the 4 bases and then the 4 fully leveled versions.

I agree with you. I set aside 1950 RP to buy this the second it came out. When i saw the new more expensive price I was pretty disappointed. I wont be spending the extra 500 RP. Sucks because i'm missing out on an awesome skin.
