Here we go! On July 17 and 18, 64 invited Twitch streamers from around the world will be competing in the first ever Twitch Rivals: Teamfight Tactics Showdown. Across two days, they’ll be playing for a piece of $125,000 and bragging rights as the first ever Twitch Rivals: Teamfight Tactics winner.

On day one, all 64 streamers will be competing for a piece of $100,000 and a place in day two. There’ll be a morning (starts at 9 AM PST) and afternoon (1:45 PM PST) bracket, each consisting of 32 players. Each player will play five games total, with a cash reward based on placement and the top eight from each bracket will advance to day two.

$25,000 is on the line on day two. Players will play four games in a round robin format (same point/prize structure as day one). We’ll then cut to the top 8 players and play one final, winner-take all, match for $5,000 and bragging rights.

All players will be playing on the NA server, and we’ve got representation from North America, EUW, EUNE, Russia, Oceania, Brazil, Turkey, and LATAM. Make sure to tune in to the tournament on the Twitch Rivals channel or any of the streamers’ channels listed below.

The whole point of Twitch rivals is to showcase small streamers alongside larger ones. They can have plenty of popular streamers like Dog/Hafu/Scarra ect without having to put these overexposed people that don't even care about the game.

The people who run twitch Rivals said that. It's why when LoL had it's twitch rivals they put people who had like 50 viewers on the same teams as players that had 10k viewers. The whole point of the event is to expose people to streamers that they haven't seen before. Twitch Rivals doesn't actually make them money in the short term, it's about exposing people to streamers to grow the brand long term.

Anyone else think there should be someway regular players could participate in stuff like this? I love twitch and the streamers, but lets be real some of streamers don't even play regular league or have not touched it in a long while. I just wish there was a way for casual and hardcore players can do stuff like this too.

There will be a ranked system soon..... As for tournaments, I would think it would follow a similar format as normal LoL tournaments. Just not travelling with a "team". Us regular players are just going to have to be patient. I'm curious to see if there is going to be some sort of professional league and who/what criteria is chosen for who is in it. 8 summoners? 16? 32? 64? Could be crazy.

No Anlkespankin though? I know he participated in the TFT Community challenge and he streams on Twitch. Kinda let down the Aaron won't participate in something like this. But i hope the Double Shojin Pyke gets abused in this so that Riot has to fix that BS. Pyke is a strong cheap assassin and double Shojin should not be allowed. You shouldn;t be allowed to stack items.

If Riot Is about the autochess scene and going all out for it because TFT is pretty clean not as many bugs as clash where they put that out and it sunk like a rock. I want to know is riot moving towards the Auto chess scene over their moba 5v5 scene?
