A lot of the new champions lately have abilities that affect your team and the enemy at the same time, often with equal effect. Is this Riot's way of messing with the meta through alteration of common teamfight interactions?
Also, I'm curious to know how they think of new abilities. Do they have a bucket list of things they'd like to throw in, but are waiting for the right champion to attach them to, or do they think of them on the fly as they create new champion concepts? I ask this because, thematically, Kindred's ult feels a little out of place. Mechanically it makes sense, but if Kindred is Valoran's grim reaper, then why do/does it/she/he/they have an ability that delays death for everyone?
