How do you stop the tilt?

Riot·9/8/2016, 11:35:26 PM·2 votes·17,867 views

The Baron Pit is ALL Chat’s discussion segment where we roundtable a question and then kick it to you for your opinions. This episode’s question: how do you prevent tilting off the face off the Earth?

League of a competitive game and tensions can flare up, to say the least. No one has a 100% win rate, so why should you expect to? ALL chat hosts and special guest Patrick “Scarizard” Scarborough (P-Crabs) discuss how to approach losing a ranked game and how they stop from going into sad mode.

"nobody has 100% win rate" what about those people who have played 1 game and won it

I found that jumping into a normals with a couple friends and doing absurd off meta picks helps a lot. The game is meant to be fun, not something that makes me wanna jump off a building.

When I lose, I try not to blame anyone, even if it's their fault, everyone has a bad game. Now, what I would like these guys to do, is make a Video about people who Troll on Rank Games and feed, intentionally, how can you not tilt about that, had a WW not pick smite on purpose, and feed the other team intentionally right off the bat. how do you cope with something like that?

Josh can feed bot lane, but Graves can't have his cigar back?

My adc always tilts me though (no matter what lane i am, the adc always tilts me), losing doesnt actually tilt me its just getting called out on plays that i thought were best at the time or just generally getting blamed for my mistakes for the entire game.

Personally, I look at the stats like Josh does, but not just at my own performance. What I find helps me, is finding something about each of the other players to admire, and I try to express that by honoring them. Nothing helps more after a big loss than seeing a teammate/opponent honored me for my performance.

Although I can't speak for ranked (yet), I can't imagine myself looking at it any differently than I do now. It's still a game, and win or loss, gg.

Play with friends when you go on a losing spree, Do stupid shiz and even if you lose you enjoy it so much you forget you were having a bad day. Granted the game I played support Ahri with friends was so fun the enemy team was even goofing off trying to run it down mid lane every spawn.

Any thoughts on how to detilt during a game?

FlamingCanadian9/14/2016, 11:45:09 AM1 votes

I'm in silver (tons of tilt) and when I play with my friends they tilt off the face of the earth while I don't tilt no matter how hard I feed. One thing I noticed is that they blame others all the time. They go in for a stupid fight an ask where the team was. they complain they didn't get enough ganks some the jungler (even though I try to explain that the jungler doesn't have to gank for them and probably won't if they are already behind). The main reason I don't tilt is because I only blame myself and never others. Even if there is a 0-10 lucian I think what could I have done to help the lucian or stop the game from snowballing or even what I could've done better in my lane. I am able to recignize my mistakes and therefore don't get tilted since I know how to improve and how to fix my mistakes. Most people have no clue what they are doing wrong and get tilted. but if you know what you are doing wrong and how to fix it you will never get tilted.(unless you get smurfed on by a challenger player, then you just tilt off the face of earth and might as well afk)

If you lose a couple ranked games you should go to normals and work on the champs you did bad on in ranked, thats what i usually do before i bring them to rank or go back to it so i can see my mistakes from my recordings and fix them

DuskDaUmbreon9/14/2016, 3:07:01 PM1 votes

Best way to come off tilt, in my opinion, is to just play a fun champ, one that you can't mess up with. Take, for an example, Teemo. He's simple, hard to mess up with big-time (maybe some bad calls, or a misplaced mushroom, but nothing game-ending - after all, your only real job as him is to mess up your opponent so badly that they have almost no farm at all), and you're only really going to lose to Fiora, so you only really have to ban her.

Another amazing way is to just play against bots. Just pick a lane, a champ, and go for it. You'll get your pick most of the time (as long as you have decent internet and reflexes), so just go in there and utterly crush them. :3

I don't get tilted from a loss. what tilts me is when i make a mistake and other players start rageing on you calling you an a**hole or whatever else they want to call you. so you get tilted in that current game and it usually caries over to the next game. I will usually play an aram instead of another ranked game.

Primaquarius9/14/2016, 9:43:38 PM1 votes

What tilts me is being matched with allies that, in general, don't know what to do when I initiate as tank support. To ease the pain, I don't ever pick a tank support until I'm past Bronze

odìn son9/13/2016, 11:12:39 PM1 votes

what we shouldnt be okay with, esp in a ranked game, when you have an intent feeder, who admits to it, or a super toxic person, which causes your team the loss. so you report him, AND NOTHING EVER HAPPENS!!!!!! thats what the league community that gave birth to what league is now, should not have to deal with. its true about what is said about rito now days. you guys only care about the top 2% of players and the ESPORTS side of league.

Dat deep sighing of resentment at the end though. Says a lot. [zombie-nunu-bummed]
