Dreadnova Darius can be exclusively unlocked with 10 gemstones, which are found as random drops in Hextech Chests. As with Soulstealer Vayne and Hextech Annie, Dreadnova Darius may also drop as a skin shard.

Dear Every Naysayer, I get it, you don't like it. It's not my cup of tea either. (Darius isn't my cup of tea but I digress.)

That doesn't diminish the work Riot put into the model, animations, and spell effects. I'm very grateful that they didn't do voice synth for it, he doesn't need a weird voice to feel right. It fits an alternative fantasy for Darius very much.

Everyone in the comments is complaining about how you need gemstones, and that it is a chest exclusive skin. Have you guys forgotten that Riot is a FREE TO PLAY game. For being free to play, Riot doesn't have many things like this. From a business standpoint, I can understand that the money would be nice.

Actually if you got every skin that you could get from the hextech crafting system, you could easily get this skin with one simple reroll of three skin shard. 100%.

Either you guys need to step up the skin game or make gemstones easier to get. Don't get me wrong, this skin is fantastic, probably the only Darius skin I've actually wanted in a long time, but it's not worth however much money I have to spend to get 10 gemstones (and believe me, you pretty much have to spend much more than 1350 ip if you want this skin before 2018/2019.) If you guys added unique voice lines to these skins or something similar to make them feel more special, I'm sure people would be a little bit more willing to grind out those gemstones.

personally if I had to price these skins for RP, they would be for the most part (except this one) the epic skins costing 3250 rp. these hextech skins are amazing, but the chances of getting a gemstone are sometimes so astronomically low people sometimes forget these hextech skins even exist. I have 4 gemstones, meaning I am a luck SoaB, but i'd rather pay cash for a guarantee than spend nothing on a gamble. RIOT, if you are listening, after 6 months of a hextech skin's life, release it to the store. You are going to make money and satisfy a large portion of community. People didn't like when you re-released Championship Riven, but it allowed a new batch of players use a classic skin. Another suggestion, is have 5 hextech skins in rotation, and when the 6th rolls in, knock the first onto the store. I hope anyone reading this understands im not vitriolic or spiteful, I just want to enjoy this game to most of my ability (even when my adc is a complete shitlord and leaves me [the support] in the wind.)

10 Gemstones is a lot and you may not get it, but people need to stop complaining. The loot system does in the end give players free stuff over time, it is better then nothing. The point is the skins are rare because they are hard to get.
