Rotating game mode queue now live!

From the sand-strewn battlefield of Ascension to the frenetic manatee magic of Ultra Rapid Fire, rotating game modes provide unique spins on the classic League formula. It’s time to kick things off with the next game mode in the rotation: One for All is now live!

For a refresher on the mode, let’s go over the basics:

Once you get into champ select, you and your team will vote for the champion you’ll all play before jumping into the game for inevitable chaos. Whether you’re chaining an endless string of Gangplank barrels, assembling a Tahm Kench matryoshka, or covering the map with Illaoi tentacles lashing every choke point, One For All is basically five times crazier than when you’re the only one playing your champion. Or at the very least, there’s five times the lasers.

As in any rotating queue game mode, we’ve specially tuned Champion Mastery so you can earn points in the mode. You’ll also be able to earn keys for your wins and loot chests for your (or your premade’s) S-, S, and S+ games.

One for All is now available and lasts through the evening on Monday (we’ll shut it down very early Tuesday morning--usually between 1:00 AM and 3:00 AM).

We’ll be trying out different things with the rotating game mode queue over the next few months such as, changing the mode cadence or what modes are available. We’re looking for your feedback as we go, so let us know. GLHF!

I thought the point of this queue was to have different modes each weekend?

Yeah, but when preseason started Riot stated that they want different modes to last two weeks so they can improvise/refurbish the other RGM so that every week it's different and completely unique from past RGMs. They'll release the other modes, too, once the new season started and they'll get back to their regular schedule.

someone else needs to run riot, because this "only ranked is the best mentality" is cancer, where is the report button for riot??? clearly there only focus is the money and not the community, because they don't implement things that the majority want, but again clearly riot doesn't understand what majority means because if we go off the surrender vote they have a GREAT grasp of what majority means. 3 votes yes, 2 votes no yet the game continues???? simply math and numbers aren't applied here if they aren't counting money.

I really wish urf would be as frequently included in the rotation as the others, especially since it's like top 3 favorite ( I would hope so o.O )

honestly, its a good thing they leave gaps..if you have christmas once a month, you're gonna get tired of everything quickly. And really when it comes out..people just cry about jax and zed, etc. Its really not as good a thing as people like to think it is and is best in moderation.

you have to use the legacy client for that. They haven't implemented the new queues yet for the new client. thats why bots still aren't in custom games, etc.

I thought rotation queue was supposed to be a balanced rotation of the best game modes. Don't get me wrong, Poro King and Ascension as fun as the insanity of One for All, but the community largely enjoys URF for the awesome nonsense we get to rain down. You don't even have to give it mastery or rewards, I guarantee people will still play it because it's such a beautiful broken mode, where we can relax and just have fun, because everyone knows it's cancer and they go willingly. Come on Riot.

if you didn't know already the reason why riot doesn't want urf as often as other game modes is because riot doesn't want a fun game mode to become very competitive, because lets just say they made it a perma game mode people are gonna keep playing it and then next thing you know its just like playing a ranked game when your team is toxic both teams only pick cancer champions riot doesn't want that, so that is why its not already a perma game mode although i would still love it to come ever once in a while

What an utter joke riot. can we please get some different game modes? I REALLY REALLY hate same game mode back to back weekends. We now get 2 game modes per month. You really are desperate to get people to play ranked. Sad and pretty transparent.

Its probably because Poro King mode is getting an update. If you look at the item sets in the legacy client, there are special poro snacks that will add more to the mode.

Why do you ask for community feedback when literally every single one of these threads is people asking for more URF and less of these modes like Nexus Siege and Poro King that a majority of the community dislike? URF is more fun than the actual game because nobody cares about people trying new things or feeding. Honestly I'd rather play URF than Blind Pick or Ranked just so I don't get flamed for picking out of meta.

Can you please add the rotating game mode to the beta client, this is what me and my friends love playing and all but one of us has changed to the beta. So now that we are getting used to the beta and have to switch back to play the funny game modes. This is very inconvenient and bad for the game. pls fix riot.

How about a game mode where you either: 1) Got a random set of abilities from a random set of champions 2) Chose abilities in champ select

Like, imagine a Nasus with a Rengar ultimate? Or a Volibear with a Ekko stun? A mode like this sounds like a whole lot of cancerous fun pls make it rito

About 2 months for a normal game company but for Rito? Maybe 2 years in production and 1 and an half year for pre-Alpha, then alpha then pre pre Beta, pre Beta, Beta, PBE and finally the buggy release

Back to back Ascension, back to back One for all, and now back to back Poro King? Why though? Not even begging for urf or anything, but this is a huge lack of variety.

Honestly, I kinda miss the one for all on the abyss. 10 Karthus was always hilarious. But the OFA here now is also tons of fun. That is if Yasuo and Illaoi are banned lol.

So when will One for All feature a true lottery instead of this "pick 3, lockout 2" system you guys have going? A lottery implies chance, no matter how small, and having 3 picks lock out probability is just unfair and absurd.

It's broken anyway. When a champ is nominated by 3 people, it's supposed to win because it's the majority pick, yet in 3 of my 10 or so One For All games, a champ was nominated 3 times and instead of showing Majority, it showed 50% which didn't make mathematical sense, and then a completely random champion was chosen. Usually because one person doesn't nominate a champion. Or when it's 2v2v1, the champion with one nomination ALWAYS WINS. Either I have amazing luck or the system is bugged.
