(As Miss Fortune continued shuffling the deck of cards, Thresh took out a coin purse and set out a large stack of gold coins. T Fate did similar, setting up a bunch of small stacks.) : We need gold to play too Lamb. So why did we have to offer a medallion? : The medallion is the last part of your wager. Whoever wins the whole pot wins all the other parts. Soul, medallion, or deck of gold. : You got gold to put up Kindred? : Of course. We may be the spirits of death, but we have enough sense to carry some gold. (Lamb set a small stack of gold on the table) But we never said we carry a lot... : All right, big blind is T Fate, small blind is Kindred. (Lamb and Wolf looked at each other, but then they saw T Fate toss 5 gold into the middle of the table. Lamb quickly added 2 gold to that. Miss Fortune dealt out two cards to all the players.) : What we get? What we get? (whispers) A two and a five. : This table ain't free-to-play. Betting 2 gold to keep playing. (Tosses 2 gold into the pot.) : Someone's feeling confident. I like it. (Adds 2 more to the pot) : Guess we have to add to the pot then? (Lamb tossed 2 gold in. Miss Fortune discarded a card and then set 3 cards face up in front of her: a 2, a 7, and a King.) : (whispers)Look, another 2! Is that good? I guess. : Bet's to you Kindred. : Oh, umm... I don't want to bet anything more. : Just say check next time then sweetie. (Thresh and T Fate both decided to check, and Miss Fortune discarded and then placed another 7 face up.) : Put your cash up Thresh. Raising it by 5. (Adds 5 gold to the pot. Lamb added her 5, and Thresh grumbled to himself as he did the same. Miss Fortune then discarded and placed an 8 face up.) : Check (Lamb and T Fate did the same) : All right, show me what ya got, starting with you Lamb. : We have a 2 and a 5. : So Kindred starts with a pair of 2s and the 7s. Thresh? (Thresh laughed softly as he laid down his cards, a pair of Kings.) : Three Kings, that pot's going to be mine. : Hold up there Thresh. (lays his cards down, a 2 and a 7) : Full house, 2s and 7s. T Fate wins. (T Fate reached out and pulled all the gold to him.) : Lamb, I'm bored... This looks like it's going to take a while. (Miss Fortune dealt the cards for the next hand as Wolf curled up beside Lamb and fell asleep.)
