Champion Update: Ashe update heading to live!

Having successfully passed through the PBE’s security scanners, Ashe’s update is all set to head onto live alongside patch 5.9. Read through her PBE article for the full story, or just scroll down for extra launch info!

Ashe has become a utility hyper carry. Good early game? Shits on enemy team. Poor early game? Can still slow enemies and shred tanks if she builds one of these babies item 3071

I'm going to miss the old Ashe. I don't think she needed such a drastic overhaul to crits. I like the new Q and E, but I also liked the old Q and E. I don't want the new passive she's getting. I understand that she has a sure-shot identity to her, but overhauling the crit system for her seems drastic to me.

I'm worried that Morg will hard counter Ashe, along with Yi and Olaf. It doesn't make sense to me that Ashe would lose the ability to crit because of their immunity to slow. To give her kit weaknesses? Maybe, but thematically it doesn't agree with me.

I understand that Ashe hasn't seen a lot of competitive play, but I don't care about that scene. I've enjoyed Ashe as an adc for years and it saddens me that she's getting an overhaul so that she can fit into the professional meta which only houses a small population of players. To me, LCS shouldn't define League of Legends and I'm worried that it is the primary driving force behind this change.

I'm scared they have over-buffed her, and will have to nerf her hard patch 9.0, making her just as nonviable of a champ as she is to most people right now, only a different champ entirely. Wish they had consulted with the most experienced Ashe players to come up with the change; I have 4.6K games as Ashe, which I can say with absolute certainty that the designers for her do not. Not a fan of what has been done to my favorite champion.
