Ayame Isaki55 votesFrom a time usage perspective, buying with RP is always more efficient than buying with IP (I have bought a few champs with RP when half off). Thus, when they are half off, they are an even better deal.
At $35 for 5000 RP, you are spending $0.007 per RP. A 975RP champion costs you $6.825. At minimum wage, that is less than an hour of work. Let's say you average 150 IP per match and your matches end at the 20 minute mark every game. Thats 350IP per hour. To get that same 975RP champion (6300 IP) you need to invest 18 hours.
So yeah, buying with RP is a far smarter decision from a time cost perspective.
I have bought one full price champ with RP since I first started and have bought a few when they have been 1/2 off.
I agree it feels better to use in game currency, but don't knock those who purchase with RP.

With RP you Save time. Do you know how many hours you have to play to get 6300 ip?
I get champions when 50% off, so for $35, I get 5000 RP, and each champion sold at 495 it's quite a few champions. How many hours do you think you would have to play to get the same amount of champions? And always have to remember, runes are IP only, so tons of IP will be for runes, making it even a longer journey.

GrìmRéapér1 votesi play daily after school and i basically get about 2 champs a day if im really wanting to play and win honestly id rather buy with ip and use money for the skins but its really only comes down to who rather do what for say i own most of the champs which i do and have maybe spent $15 on champs and how ever much on skins honestly i had to take a years break cause of my pc and if it werent for that id have all the champions by now( NO LIFE HERE)!
