Clash NA launch canceled due to technical issues

We are sorry to tell you that we’ve decided to cancel this weekend’s Clash launch due to unexpected technical issues that appeared when rolling it out across regions earlier today. We want your first play through of Clash to be as amazing as possible, but unfortunately we are not confident in the event experience that you and your teams would have had.

We know that you have made an incredible commitment clearing your schedules and practicing with teammates to prepare for Clash, and our team is focused on finding a solution to get Clash back on track. This work will continue and there will likely be Clash tests in certain regions around the world as we explore fixes, but this Clash weekend is officially canceled here in North America. We will continue to keep you updated.

To those of you wondering, your Clash ticket will still be in your inventory and can be used when Clash is available in the future.

This absolutely ridiculous riot. You cannot launch this and hype it up for weeks having people change all their schedules around to match this time. I expected better from you guys. We all expected some bugs and jitters as this is the first non beta weekend so what is wrong with releasing something that has some problems we all want to play and set aside the time to play it.

Just please don't announce something for a set date then not release it.

My friends and I cleared our schedules for this. We're adults, not kids off from school. It takes a lot to have an open weekend. This sucks.

Completely absurd. You hype up your entire player base FOR MONTHS, blue ball some of us with the beta, and then when the final result is about yo come out you cancel THE DAY OF? Riot, you need to focus less on your PR and more on being a good company for your players. If Riot ever wants to know why their game is dying, look no further than this repeated bull crap. Riot repeatedly screws over its players with false promises and refuses to work with them. Riot owns League, but if they want to keep it alive they should actually work on having a functional product.

Release it as is, no one gave a fuck about the issues with the beta launch, no one will give a fuck about issues with this one. Way too many people rearranged their lives to fit riots schedule for this and the backlash from cancelling will be larger that any 'technical issues' that made it through.

Feel like Riot could at least gift everyone 1 clash ticket. Players should be compensated for this across all regions... It's one thing to cancel a launch but it's another thing when it's cancelled hours before. Especially a big time commitment that people were looking towards. Rude move just to say "Sorry, :(" a few hours before clash was gonna start.

Really glad that my friends (2 of them married with kids) and I all cancelled/reshuffled our memorial day weekend plans to accommodate this. Pretty sure that we just flat out won't be able to schedule clash into our lives for the rest of the summer.

This company has way too many resources, manpower, and lead time for testing for this to be excusable.

They better give us something in light of this. So many people moved their lives around for this weekend and they gave us a 2 hour heads up. Take a page out of epic games(fortnight) and give your players a "I'm sorry gift" This is 100% on you guys.

Tell us what the fucking issue is if you're gonna cancel it only for us. Like this is actually awful. If it was because of in-game things then fine but if the clash worked in client and we could get into games just release the beta shit again and let us play.
