Tier 2 runes now on permanent 1 IP sale

One month ago we said we’d be putting all tier 2 runes on permanent sale for 1 IP each* while also making them accessible to level 1 Summoners.

… It’s been a month. Go check the store.

*We can’t make these runes free because of the way our store is coded (and the League Client Update team isn’t taking a break just to update an old shop), but hopefully you’ll be able to afford the extravagance.

Having the ability to make a full rune page with the IP gained from one match. That's pretty nice. It'll definitely help new players out a lot. It'll also help the experience be better when I level accounts to 30.

The problem still lies in Tier 3 runes and Rune Pages. Tier 2 runes are worthless after reaching level 30, while tier 3 runes are ridiculously expensive for new players to obtain. Additional rune pages cost 6300 IP, which is too costly considering there are runes that needed to be bought as well.

All this does is make leveling, and stomping in norms on the way to level 21 easier for smurfs. All the people saying that it's 75% as good as a tier 3 rune seem to miss the fact that you're left at a huge disadvantage when going up against someone with a full tier 3 rune page. In addition, tier 2 runes don't have as much variation as tier 3 runes do, you simply can't get some lesser tier 2 runes like %max HP. The amount of IP that it costs to unlock rune pages, runes, and champions is absurd. Tier 3 runes should be 1 IP and all other runes should be phased out.

I just don't like runes in general, it's a really weird concept considering players should not have particular advantages over another player just because they don't have the ip to get runes or rune pages. Masteries how ever make more sense since EVERYONE has access to them IF they are lvl 30

I don't get what to big fuss is about. Runes are pretty dang useful, The only thing I dislike is the cost of tier 3 runes and how huge the bonuses are, Yeah they are amazing and all, But tier 3 needs a little nerf, NOT A BIG NERF, a little nerf. #Teemo4Life Teemo

Awesome! I'd love to try out some different things.

Perhaps a bundle of all_Tier 2 runes is in order? It'd cost about 624 IP (21x9 S, 19x9 M, 20x9 G, 28x3 Q) or so, so it doesn't even really need a discount. Just toss 'em all in a bag, so we don't need to buy them a few at a time.

You have the * saying that you can't make them free. Well, you could make it a permanent bundle. All Tier 2 runes for 10 IP. It still wouldn't be free, but the cost would be reduced even more. Just my 2 RP worth.

what do they mean accessible level 1 summoners? don't have a slot unlocked till some levels later.
