Emotes are live!

Riot, I appreciate you guys as a company and I completely understand that you guys are a company with a F2P game, but..$5 for a single emote is a bit much imo. I'd honestly feel a lot better about emotes if we could get them for IP/Blue essence. As a person who is sitting on 40k IP, good god Riot, give me more stuff to spend IP on! Sorry to say it Riot, but I'm gonna pass on buying these. I dont support the RP cost at all..[sg-ahri-3]

Too damn expensive

I'd rather these emotes to cost around 3k Blue Essence instead of 5$, Blue essence is virtually worthless for people with all champions. [sg-soraka] And I'm lowkey sad these stickers are not part of the emotes.

450rp for one..... yeah, I'm gonna pass! Not even ONE option to buy any with IP...... Maybe I missed it, fairly sure I did not. Seriously Riot? I'm sure enough people will buy em so you win, but dang, could the greed be more obvious?

“mute enemy emotes” option in the in-game settings.

Can we please get a mute all emotes in-game settings. Its going to get real annoying to click through the whole list every game.

Honestly, I think these are a good and cute little addition, but I also feel you should be able to buy them with IP. Why can't we buy them with IP??? ;-; [sg-janna]

What if static emotes were IP/BE and there was animated emotes (Like the ones on Facebook) that were RP? I think that's a good idea.

Expensive AF

At least have certain ones you can buy with IP, there's no way I'm spending money on emotes unless they are made cheaper.

This is a complaint, and a long one. Just be warned. When I first saw the emotes system coming out everyone I knew was against it. "Why is riot trying to make the game more toxic?" Nevertheless I wanted to study the actual impact of emotes in a game, so I watched one, and something blew my mind: empty all chat. There's such a grey area in trash talk. You can't draw any real lines when something goes from friendly banter to personal. This was different. Nothing for the other eight players to read, just a momentary troll picture and probably an eye roll. That's it. That's fine. Actually.... that's great. So i told everyone you guys were genius. Now that they're out... If you went through with this system it's because you found it to be a genuine improvement on all chat. In other words: the game needed it; not wanted it, needed it.Even if I shelled out $20 for a set instead of buying a whole other game with free online capabilities(I have quite a few at this price, so don't pretend there aren't any) it would provide me with zero reassurance to an actual game improvement because my teammates wouldn't have it; my enemies wouldn't have it, and this whole thing could have been an overpriced mute button rework. There are plenty of games that include emotes to improve environment. On top of that champions already have emotes. You could have at least included a base set of emotes and charged for exclusive ones so we can all "Stop dying while typing" if you really believe that's important. But charging five bucks a friggin' emoticon only deserves one response: DX -.- >:(

Why are u so damn money hungry?? everything revolves around rp, jesus.. chillllllllllllllllll everything you make has to be rp specific, and for a damn like mini picture that shows up for 2 seconds u charge players 350 rp for each emote? like is that a joke or smth? the only things u can buy with IP are champs and rune pages, whats wrong with u, give players more stuff to spend their ip's on stop being so fcking money hungry christ...

Why dont you make 2 versions of one emote, maybe a bland one for ip and one that glows and lights up for rp??

Looking at the store, the emotes have names. That one is "Nice Try", for example. I did NOT understand that that was what her face was.

Emotes are great to replace typing but images only can be a vague way of communicating. It would be great if using emotes also made text appear with the name of the emote. The text would look like the damage numbers and only appear very briefly above the player.

I do think that only showing the image leaves it open to interpretation, which CAN be great and creative! So ideally, in the emotes menu you would choose which emotes in your wheel would make the text appears.

In the future this could also allow you to make much more specific emotes since you wouldn't be tied down to only communicating something with a character's face.

If you're gonna make them so expensive why not make them open-able in boxes?

Good job Riot creating more essentially useless content for money spenders to waste more money on and for those who actually play the game to never be able to have or use.

Does everything need to be monetized anymore?

If the emotes had different sound effects or animations I'd maybe consider getting them for 450 RP, otherwise it's too expensive.

I think you should give a few more free emotes, cause I would like to say WP to my laner while I am trying to survive the jungler.

So let me get this straight. You just added an extraordinarily unimportant game feature that should cost anywhere between free and IP only and then you're going to charge as much as some characters and skins that can actually add to gameplay and last all match? These emotes look really nice... but they are so expensive! Maybe for 2.50 I would buy them, but 5 dollars for a single emote is a bit steep...

The mission and now Emote cash grabs are going to be the end of this game. knock it off. If I want to buy a skin that is one thing. But the rest of this shit is just dumb. Focus on the game not on cash grabs. I will not spend one penny on crap like that. It has no impact on the game as is. I am tempted to move on when the Runes go away. I cannot stand cookie cutter game play. One build does not work for all players.

I know im gonna sound stupid but I really have been struggling with this for a while. Where do I go to rebind the hotkey for my emotes?

First...Will champ masteries fall under the mute option as well? When can we mute champs laugh also (we've all had the jinx spam laugh till you mute the entire game)?
