My favorite part of these missions is the complete lack of support for just watching them on twitch. :) After that is the fact that watching them on the lolesports site doesn't complete the mission either. :)

This is the worst mission ever because of how buggy it is and the fact that we are getting bribed to watch esports.

Everybody is missing the point... These icons are to reward players who already watch E-Sports.. It's not necessarily to incite players to watch it. I mean obviously it does help but if you watch E-Sports then it's a nice + to have. Everyone has to stop getting pissed about Riot just trying to reward players. Also twitch support and the bug getting fixed would be nice though lol

I watched 16 games yesterday, got zero credit, watched 2 VODs today finally got credit for 1*[sg-shisa]*

I see a lot of people are here reporting that their rewards weren't earned even though they watched the VODS. I'm here to hopefully help and spread some details based on my own experience and relaying what was told to me from Riot Support when I asked about these.

Try these steps before blaming Riot and contacting Riot Support.

Step 1: Make sure you are on the lolesports website and logged in. I know this seems condescending but we've all forgotten to log in before. Not to mention that yes, the games are streamed on both youtube and twitch respectively and while you can watch the games on those websites only watching on lolesports website will earn you the rewards.

Step 2: Disable Adblock, all of your adblocks. It should go without saying that you should disable adblock when trying to get watch rewards but some people are stubborn about it. I will admit, more than a few times I got watch rewards while still running adblock but it is known to cause issues.

Step 3: Pick the right games. As of typing this, February 14th, 2019. I am still unaware of the reasoning behind it but I'm still seeing many reports of this issue. LCK, LPL, and LMS games are not counting towards games watched for many players and therefore do not work for the quests. I recommend using the CBLOL, EUCS and NALCS as your games for the quests.

Step 4: Leave the games open. From pregame, champ select to Nexus explosion. If you feel the urge to play league while you're watching these games or simply need to do something else during them, make sure to keep a window open. Navigating away or switching tabs seems to reset the counter but not switching to another window like playing an ARAM or ARURF while its playing. That being said it takes anywhere from 15-20 minutes sometimes for the games to be counted so to be sure myself I never closed them until my counter had changed.

If you are still experiencing issues I would try clearing your cache and relogging into the website and doing the steps again. If all else fails this is the time to contact Riot Support about the issue. I hope this helps some of you get your Blue Essence and Icons and I hope you all have a wonderful day. <3 [sg-ahri-2]

Yeah so my vods and live matches arent giving me credit. What gives Riot?

I got nothing for watching matches last time. Why would I even try this time? I went to https://watch.na.lolesports.com and watched the matches, I even tried some vods, and got nothing for the time I wasted, and yes I was logged into my account.

Why would I waste more of my time watching matches that the champions that I play will NEVER EVER be in?

Improve the game so it's more entertaining to watch? Nah, let's just bribe them with icons they can't show off, and sometimes scam people out of their rewards.[zombie-brand-facepalm]

i have like 20 tabs opened with VOD and the rewards never get updated or synced-

I dunno rito you have to compensates the failures on your system.

These rewards work fine if you watch the correct videos. It says "Global League", not LCS Academy, not the Allstars events, not the Championships from last year. Current Global Leagues.

I left the website on while I did other things and it played for a couple of hours but I still didn't get the reward for the first mission. Honestly looking at the rewards though, I don't think it's worth the effort to even try and get these...

So in some ways I'm actually grateful that I don't have to leave a tab open lol.

I to haven't gotten my teemote icon and I watched all the NA games Sunday and a few of the others as well

i watched with safari and edge with out any ad blockers or anti tracers and it seemed to work. but you have to be watching at least 10 mins of it... but i did finally got to work. and i been watching the euro and japan league

tbh it would take a lot more than some icons to get me to watch any of that stuff.
