It’s that time of the year; the API Challenge is upon us! If you didn’t catch the last API Challenge, it was focused on three categories: Black Market Brawlers, Ability Power Item Changes, and Item Sets. We’re back again with a new prompt and more prizes. The community developers have not disappointed and we’re excited to see what they come up with next.

This and those links explain nothing. I am beyond confused as to what this is, how one participates, and what they actually are supposed to do even.

A lot of players seem to think the API challenge is about game changes. Some are asking what exactly this is about.

I'm just going to put this here and hope it sticks to the top:

The Riot API is a programming interface that allows third parties to request statistical League of Legends gameplay data from Riot, which said third party can then manipulate and display in an organized manner via an application; application overlay; application extension; web browser; web browser extension; etc.

The third parties then publish their work as tools for players, such as any of the multitude of sites that publish Win Rate statistics or sites that publish recent builds of pros (Probuilds.net), or browser extensions like LeagueSets for Chrome or build calculators like builder.gg

Hope this clarifies and maybe cuts down on some of the "we need X item in the game" comments.

If they have Thornmail, which is made out of a cloth armor and chain vest, which reflects a portion of attacks on your person as magic damage, consider--

Mirror Mail, item 1033 + item 1057 , or possibly a + item 1028 which would reflect a portion of of magic abilities on your person as physical damage, this way for those bursty mages and mage assassins, your squishy marksman or counter mage would have something against them.

Like Thornmail, make the item expensive and don't let the return damage be too ridiculous, considering that it is a lot of MR with those two items, but it is something I'd like to see considered.

I know this is an API challenge, but I feel like there should be a item that's like zhonya's item 3157 but for ad assassins. We need an item that can give you armor and ad, possibly even ar penetration. I think a item that gives armor and ad would work very well on champ like zed or yasuo. the item could be built with: item 1031 + item 3133 + item 1036

or even: item 1031 + item 3134 + item 1036 with ar pen

If they simply add the basic tools to organize Rune and Mastery Pages (via drag and drop and copy/paste), we will see much needed feature that we have requested for years. If you don't believe me, search for "organizing runes masteries" on the boards; there are literally dozens and dozens of requests spanning the last 4 years with not so much as a peep from Riot...

I would like to see a MR item building out of giants belt accompany this mage update, but I don't see that happening summoner 3

Rito please add a kill cam mechanism so that people can watch they're deaths and see they're mistakes and improve upon them.

need more MR. Especially with the mage update. Buff solari to give more MR to the team, add a MR thornmail or MR Randuins that would be cool. Basically give me a combination of Warmogs and Banshees, thank you.
