The HUD update hits live

why are you guys yet again trying to fix something that isn't broken? like, the amount of people that hate the new hud compared to the amount that likes it, so many more ppl hate it, including me, and yes i have played with it... at least give us an option to swap between the 2 hud's then it'd be perfectly fine

This HUD is as unintuitive, ugly and not modular as I feared it will be.

The new HUD is awful just as I feared. You want to know what the biggest downfall to big game giants like this are? The devs get bored and try to fix something that is NOT broken. Literally struggling to figure any aspect of anything out. Thanks for breaking my favorite game. Worst part about it is that they think that their design is so flawless they won't listen to the people that have poured so much time and money into this game and will keep this garbage change. They won't switch it back until there player base falls to half of what it used to be (like world of warcraft). And only then when there jobs are threatened will they change it to a similar design as before, But sadly it will be too late and it will all be over. Well I guess it's on to Dota 2

Oh Dear, i think this is all i needed to finally push me over the edge and give up league. its just awful. Please add a Toggle switch so we can go back to the old HUD. because as of this moment i don't even want to play another game. its a complete disaster. Heres to hoping the players have a voice..

Is there a way to downgrade back to the older HUD? If not, I am done playing this until it's fixed. I can't stand it.

The new HUD is a total bummer for me.

Does this new HUD stand for "Hella Unnecessary & Dumb"? or "Hella Underwhelming & Dated"? MY GOD was there a deadline so important that you guys forgot your polish? "It's a turd Jim." I had to look at the calendar to make sure it wasn't April Fools. Everything is totally compact and squished into the bottom right :(

Please, I can't stand the new HUD. I can no longer enjoy the game. If anything at least bring the option to revert to the old set up. Please Riot.

This is the single worst update in League history.

Pros: It looks really pretty, the death timers in the bottom right corner are super useful.

Cons: Items are on the right and not the left. I cannot overstate how difficult this makes playing the game. For, what, 5 years now, my eyes have been trained to flick left to check items. Now I do that, get confused, and by the time my eyes adjust right I'm dead. My reaction times on activated items/gold count/checking CS/etc are DESTROYED just because things are not where they should be. And the worst part is there was NO NEED to move the locations. You could have updated the clarity without destroying the game. But you did.

Also: not having summoner names next to champs in the team stats screen is irritating, the new shop layout is awful (the search bar is so tiny I miss it half the time I'm trying to click on it), and could REALLY use a larger, separate death timer for self like in the old HUD.

If this isn't fixed I'm going to stop playing.

Would it be possible to allow us to move around things like the CS count and kill count etc? I am fine with the new HUD, but there should be more things to customize, in case we liked the old look, or where things were originally placed...

this hud is total compact bs.Why they had to ruin something working pretty good??? first the characters are so small so hard to read. and there are too many non important info mixed with important info its confusing!!!!

At least riot should let players customize their Hud without shoving down the throat this compact bs.

O...M...G... This new interface... Just played one game of dominion and I can't see or hear anything, EXCEPT that annoying pirate I don't even know what to call it. I'm more accustomed to a neutral voice, not this noise...oh I mean..."voice." Thank god there's a mute button for the "announcer." The skill and nexus life bar makes you feel like you're squished between two elephants. The mini-map is now the supersized map, and the skill box is also supersized... For a moment I was like...am I playing Heroes of the Storm? No wait, I uninstalled that game...

I do, however, like the cdr times visible on your teammates.

I Strongly Dislike the new hud my items are on the right and it really messes me up and is now affecting my gameplay Hud options need to be added to customize it or have a button where we can use the old hud

please give a option to change the old interface. The music is good, but the UI is too small. Really not for guys who wear glasses.

maybe im just stubborn to change but the old hud was much better... ok the more info is nice on the rare occasion that I want to know but now the left side of my screen is barren and the right side seems over crowded and the tab menu feels squished all the important information is tiny while the less important stuff big... i dont care about my allies summoner spells when im trying to see if im ahead or behind in cs... my apologizes for the rant but I would really really like to opt back to the old hud

I hated the new HUD when it hit the PBE, as with any massive change, it takes time to get adjusted to. I've played on the PBE enough to be adjusted now. Do I like it? Eh, I miss some things from the old but like a lot of new features. Is it great? Nah. It's it bad? Nah, again. Just give it some time and in a month if you are still convinced it's unplayable then complain to Rito.

This new HUD is a steamer... a total steaming pile.

So, my opinion on the new HUD: It's nice, it looks sleek, it fits in with the graphical direction they've been going since they updated SR. I like the new features, such as being able to see your teammate's summoner spell timers, and a decent timer on teammate's ultimates instead of just being a green or black dot. I also like the fact enemy death times show up next to your team's icons now.

This said, the new HUD is WAY too compact in areas it didn't need to be. The dots under the spell icons are way too small (not a big deal until you're playing Kha'zix and are asking yourself "Did that point in my ultimate place?" Accidentally evolved ultimate at lvl 6 because of this), the new stat info for your enemies is way too small, the stat info for you is just... stupid. You have to hold C to see your armor and MR. Teammate's hp bars and mana bars are WAY too small, and in an awkward position now (might not be the case if they were bigger)

Most of my complaints can be dealt with over time of using it and memorizing what icons line up to what stat (and most of them are pretty simple to figure out), but I, like most people that posted, liked being able to see the giant letters and numbers saying "Cooldown reduction: 20%" instead of having to find a tiny hourglass to see a tiny 20% that takes longer to actually read than the other.

The other complaint I have is that in the character info screen, it kept your sight to the middle of the screen which is where most of the action happens. This new one has you looking down on the lower left hand side of the screen where NOTHING ELSE is at now.

What I propose is making it more customizable, being able to move icons around, make certain windows bigger or smaller, and other miscellaneous customization features as opposed to changing it back to the old HUD like people are requesting. I would also propose that your character stat window is a permanent thing in the lower left hand, or at least be able to toggle it with C instead of having to hold C. As I said, I like the new features of the HUD, but it's just needlessly compact, and customization features like I suggested would fix this.

This HUD is so bad! Riot you need to change it back or at least give us the option to change it to the one we wish to play with.

I tried a custom game of this new HUD... It was terrible. The old weird gangplank voice is awful. I rather prefer the girl's voice and I would like the old HUD back.

Normally don't post anything, just up and down vote other things, but this needs to be stressed. I like the overall LOOK of the HUD, but not where everything is and placed. <<< Make sure you read that and understood that. Adding a customization element to the new HUD would be amazing and maybe keep so many player from leaving, also adding a toggle button in the settings that allow you to opt out of using the new HUD would be fine as well. I personally am not a big fan of this new HUD and I think something should be done to address all of the angry people out that that want their original HUD back. I really hope that Riot Games listens to me and all the other people out there, if League of Legends was a living thing, we would be its heart, and without a heart, League cannot live.

The HUD is an update I didn't like. It looked sleek but too much information smashed into the right amount of information. Now when you look at the minimap, you also got to see your cs, time, kda, etc. which was too much packed into a corner. I clicked on someone and facepalmed when I saw the CDR stat. I don't think we need to know the CDR like riot c'mon. It was pretty buggy because my w, after leveling it up on aram, stayed there until i upgraded it and got annoying.

Overall I give this a 4/10
