What’s All Chat?

All Chat is a show for players who enjoy all things League. It’s a web series on a mission: to guide you on an adventure through every corner of League fandom. With every episode, we scour the globe to help you discover hidden awesome—everything from fanart to cosplay to player stories. Your stuff, your show.


When does All Chat premiere?

The show rolled out today on our new NA League Community YouTube channel.


Does All Chat have anything to do with Summoner Showcase?

All Chat isn’t Summoner Showcase, but it embraces what made that show special: a genuine connection with League players and an infectious enthusiasm for everything related to League.

As a way of continuing that legacy, we named All Chat’s core segment “Summoner Showcase” and dedicated it to celebrating all the cool stuff players create.


Who are the hosts?

All Chat draws some of its cast from the League community. Melonie Mac is a well-known YouTuber and streamer. Josh Kim is a video director for Team Curse (and lives in the Curse house!). Most of you know James Patterson as LCS host Riot Dash , but on All Chat he gets to unbutton his vest and unwind.


How can I join the party?

On the topic of community creativity, I'd like to put in a plug for Factions, a community game mode inspired by Riot's original Noxus versus Ionia matches. The basic idea: we fight matches using faction-specific Champion lists, and use the outcomes of those matches to develop an ongoing storyline. Anyone can start a match anytime; you just send the results in online for scoring. All skill levels are welcome to join in.

So that's the basic idea: we come up with a story centered around a dispute before the League, then use actual matches to determine who wins. Here's a quick rundown of the "chapters" we've completed so far. Each chapter/arc/storyline runs about three months, and features a different set of playable factions. To answer a common question: no, you don't have to stick with the same faction forever. Your oath of allegiance only lasts until the current dispute ends; when the next one starts, you can freely decide whom to support. For example, you can fight for Bilgewater in this arc, and then Piltover in the next arc when it begins.

Factions is also intended as a community lore initiative. We have our own in-universe newspaper in the style of the JoJ, called the Summoner's Herald, as well as all kinds of other lore.

It's been going for almost two years now, and it's been a lot of fun so far. Thanks to everyone who's volunteered their time to continue to improve it beyond its humble "hey let's do a Demacia vs. Zaun match or something and make up a story for it" roots.

I must say that Nikosaur did this much better but I will give it a chance. Seemed extremely cheesy to me. Try doing the show targeting a more mature audience.
