main, I'm ecstatic about this rework. I've played her religiously for a little under two years. In those two years I rarely ever saw Poppy being played in normals, and almost never in ranked. I could probably count the amount of times I've seen Poppy in a ranked game on one hand.
While I wish they had kept her passive (best in the game), I understand why it was necessary to rework her. I see this rework as a chance for more people to experience the joy of playing Poppy, while not suffering as much trying to learn how to play against her many annoying counters.
Cdore6 votesI play her a lot, too, and I can tell you that experiencing the "joy of playing her" can already be done. She's along one of the cheapest heroes to buy. Anyone can play her right now. She's not as pretty as kawaii Lux and doesn't have as many forgiving abilities like Yasuo, but that's what makes her balanced and that's why she's rewarded for playing well, a quality that is being underrated by the Riot team these days. The community has been giving a lot better suggestions for years for a Poppy kit tweak that did not destroy her kit one bit. And her personality....Oh, God, the personality. Where did it all go wrong.
Monarcke3 votesPoppy really is OP. She can singlehandledly change the game after just 1 full item(Guinsoos OP). But I love the update she looks tons of fun even if her ap damage is gone may it rest in peace :(. I hope the update doesnt bring too many people taking the one champ I love to main.
Cdore7 votesIf she was OP, she would have one of the highest winrates in the game and would be a top contender at Worlds or any competitive scene. But she wasn't. She cannot change a game because this game is all a team game, and any decent team was able to kite or out coordinate her because her ult is the definition of doing everything by herself. That was the point. She was an anti-carry. She cannot win games on her own. She simply existed, like other assassins, to keep carries in check. She has no waveclear, no objective taking power, and no team fight cc. She is one of the most balanced characters in the game because her strengths and weaknesses are obvious, while being very team dependent. She is not like Jax, who can carry a game all by himself, nor does she have the team fight clearing power of champs like Yasuo who can crit people to death. Nor is she a Yi that just does everything better than her in total.

Cdore1 votesLast I checked, Poppy can't not go below 1 HP for five seconds as an on demand skill.
Wendígo2 votesShe cannot, she can still become completely immune to damage (except for her ults target, but every old poppy player with half a brain ults the enemy player with the least damage, the support, also, if she ults a ghost created by Morde, she's immune to him too) for six seconds without having to lose health at all, meaning she still has her health when it ends, unlike Tryndamere.
Also unlike Tyrndamere, she's immune to all CC while doing it.
Are you even trying? Regardless of your idiotic opinion, the rework is happening, and there's nothing you can do about it :D

There was nothing wrong about what I said. Her ult isn't Tryndamere's. If you can show me in game where it says she cannot be reduced below 1 HP for 5 seconds, you get half a million bucks from me.

BOOOM suddenly it's 5v4 or even 3 someone's about to kill my carry? GTFO AKALI!!! it's got a shocking amount of utility to it, and that's not even including you can snap cast (like varus q) for a pretty long aoe knockup if you don't want to send people flying away
peach lemonade1 votesAre any of you thinking about at least decreasing the time it takes for Q to "explode" or at least giving it a bigger AoE? It seems a little lackluster and does little damage and its only use (I've seen) is to clear mages
Mishli1 votesyou've gotta plan it out a bit, land e? both hits will land, fighting in lane? figure out if your opponent will keep chasing (q infont of them) or will they run? (setup for stun) just mashing it on the ground might not land it, but it really adds up fast and, unlike old poppy q, doesn't cost near as much mana, so it can be used much more often

Mishli1 votesit's kinda like lee sin ult, has a lot of potential value in removing someone from a fight, both with knockback and knockup potential, but you also have potential to save someone too, it's a tradeoff, you can't say you haven't seen a lee sin save someone by trying to ks with his ult...

Mishli2 votesshe's been needing a rework for almost 3+ years now, she was originally released as a tank, but because of her aburdly powerful passive and ultimate, she was able to get away building almost pure damage. she hasn't been in patch notes besides bug fixes for almost 3 years, but back in season 2 a full build poppy could 1v5 almost any combination of champions in the game, even though the champion herself had weaker than average stats, she had an amazing lategame, but arguably the worst early game of any champion in league. since then a number of her core items got nerfed or removed (RIP philo stone..) so she got progressively weaker, but to quote Morello himself "Poppy was in a state where if she was a viable champion, it wouldn't be fun for anyone else, if she got farm, her kit made her incredibly powerful" honestly a Poppy being even in farm with a trinity at 20 minutes could generally win a 1v2, even in season 5, and this is after she was gated with absurdly high mana costs (2 points in w, at level 6, qwer and she's oom) there was no way to actually fix her to make her playable without completely destroying the champion, so they're relaunching her instead
