#A Corporate Matter Episode: Total Eclipse Of The Corp

Last Monday:

Gnar "See, I told you, no eclipse. It's all just a scam."

Soraka "Yeah, I just kinda wanted to see one. You know? We never get them in Runeterra."

Gnar "Like I said, you are better off. People here get waaaayyyy too worked up over the sun."

Soraka "But maybe if we had them more often, like other worlds, then that wouldn't happen."

Gnar "You have a much higher faith in people than I do. Now let's get back to work."

Present day:

Gnar "I'm telling you, don't do it. You will regret it."

Nasus "I am a dog of math and statistics. What you are saying is nothing more than Yordle superstition.

LeeSin "What are you two idiots fighting about now?"

Gnar "So it's a confirmed fact that whenever one of us is having a nice slow day with no risk of death. As soon as we mention it everything goes to hell."

Nasus "You and I have different ideas about what a "fact" is. What he suggests is preposterous."

LeeSin "Dude, have you seen the world we live in? I wouldn't doubt anything."

Gnar "He only doubts it because he hates that my free rotation brings in more money than his sales."

Nasus "Another made up fact. I have run the numbers. Nothing short of a global event could cause anything crazy to happen today. So-"

Gnar "Don't do it."

Nasus "So th-"

Gnar "I mean it."

Nasus "So, this is a really peaceful day we are having. Nothing bad happening at all. Just nice and relaxing."

Gnar "You've doomed us all."

Nasus "What, I said it and nothing bad happened, does this mean I'm right?"

Gnar "Just give it a minute, you'll see."

LeeSin "Hey, guys. There's something weird going on with the sun."

Gnar "See, I told you. Let's go outside and see what you've done."

Nasus "Why are we trusting the blind guy to tell us the sun looks weird?"

LeeSin "I can smell it."

Outside the corporate office building:

Gnar "Great job Corporate Nasus, YOU'VE CAUSED A SOLAR ECLIPSE!"

Soraka "HAHAHA YES!" "Puts on eclipse glasses." "I knew you'd show up baby."

Nasus "That's impossible. This is just a coincidence."

DrMundo "Corporate Mundo make surprise announcement. Something block out sun, me hope it not one of employee's fault. But remember, unless you want end up like dumb balance employee, no look at black sun."

LeeSin "At least he actually acknowledged my existence."

Soraka "It truly is an amazing sight. The darkness of the land during the middle of the day. The idea that everything we look up to has momentarily disappeared. Seeing the shadow of the moon surrounded by a ring of fire."

LeeSin "Yep."

Darius "Yes, overpower the sun. Moon, show them who the boss is."

Soraka "You really shouldn't look at it without glasses."

Darius "People have lived for thousands of years without those fancy glasses. And they didn't all go blind. So I am going to- AHHHHHHHHHH, MY EYES! THEY BURN! I CAN'T SEE, WHY CAN'T I SEE!!!!"

LeeSin "It's alright buddy. It's not as bad as it seems. Give it some time, all your other senses will get a boost. Food is going to taste amazing. Plus, the ladies love a man who can't look at other women."

Gnar "That sure never stopped you."

Vladimir "Quick, everyone! While the sun is blocked out, it's the perfect time to loot and riot!"

Soraka "Wait, what? Why?"

Vladimir "Why not? FREE STUFF!"

Gnar "Like I said, people go nuts. You should see what happens in the rest of Runeterra."

Meanwhile:

Azir "Shur... Shur... Shurima is falling. Without the sun, I have no power and no kingdom."

Leona "Im-im-impossible. How could this happen."

Diana "It was always destined to happen. Hahahahaha, grovel at my feet."

Kayle "This has got to be my sister's doing"

Taliyah "Quick, while they are powerless. ATTACK!"

Annie "How did they know an eclipse was coming. CATCH ME IF YOU CAN!"

"You guys take care of this. I'll be in my bunker."

Vladimir "It feels so good to be outside during the middle of the day."

Gnar "You do realize that the moon only makes it look darker. The sun still has the same UV rays as normal."

Vladimir "Looks at skin melting off." "Oh, right." "Dies."

Gnar "Well, I'm going to go back to my office and hide under my statue. You guys keep freaking out because the sky is slightly darker."
