*Gemstones have a chance of dropping as a bonus alongside normal chest content. Gemstones have light "bad luck protection," so you can't go more than 50 boxes without getting a gemstone. Together this results in a 3.6% chance of getting a gemstone. Gemstones can also drop from bonus chests, bringing the overall drop rate up to 4 percent.

Ugh, please remove emotes from my chests. On no planet do I want an emote instead of a skin. Sad panda.

Awesome way to milk more money out of your playerbase instead of just removing totally useless champion shards from normal loot boxes and having them relegated to the leveling system.

You are soo pro consumer ... what a joke.

GL to all the fools who decide to pay for the RNG spin the League of Legends wheel of luck based loot systems that you PAY FOR. Whales man this is what you have done to gaming.

EA < Riot Games < Ubisoft < Capcom

In terms of cheap loot box tactics you just pushed yourself above Ubisoft and are just under EA.

Thankfully I ain't the fool and haven't spent more than 60$ on this game in the 5 years I have played it.

And tactics like this are EXACTLY why I DO not invest more money into this game.

I wish this was posted like a patch note with comparisons - I don't know why these chests are different/better.

EDIT: Okay, don't flame me, I went and looked for myself.

Skin Shard Regular: 50% Master: 70%

Champ Shard Regular: 25% Master: 0%

I don't understand the hype or hate of these loot boxes. Personally I've been playing this game on and off for far too many years. Hell, I have the ufo corki and silver kayle. As I said FAR TOO LONG. I'm not that great, hell I'm Ok at best hah. But with that said I do have most of the champs, I have way to many skins, and growing stack of BE. When the boxes first came out I wasted a little money to check it out and was quickly disappointed. Having most of the champs I could see it was a waste (for me). So I quit buying them, the only time I get one now is when they toss me a free one and it's mostly garbo and broke down for more BE. So I guess I'm still at a loss, I never paid RP for champs, never, so why are people buying them with RP and getting mad their only getting champ shards. If you want a skin, emote, or ward skin just grab it when it goes on sale. Then you don't have to worry about RNG or anger when you get crap from the boxes. There are also those random chests they have now. Those always give good shit, so just save it for those.

Idk I just don't get it, but that's just my 2gp.

Question. If someone gets an S+ can they get a masterwork chest?

I mean like, you have one small chance at it per champ per seadon. S- and S just give normal chests and you get no more chances. But S+ gives a Masterwork.

Are these chests a permanent addition to the hextech shop, or limited? Time to dole out cash and attempt to farm Zombie Brand since the Harrowing is literally never returning.

really though how do i get keys? ive been sitting on 20 chests for a year now that i havent been able to open
