New PROJECT skins have joined the fight, but that’s not the only upgrade we’ve made to the League store...

On top of acquiring gemstones by chance from Hextech Chest drops, you can also purchase them through PROJECT crafting bundles from August 2 - 7. Limit one bundle per day.

I've always been wary of Riot and their 'offers'. They make light of a concern, namely the availability of gemstones, then present a solution that they play off as a 'pat on the back' to dedicated players.

"In our efforts to make gemstones directly purchasable, we’re also guaranteeing one per day in special bundles for the first six days of this operation."

Apparently it takes a considerable amount of effort to make something directly purchasable. I imagine their design team is hard at work, day and night, trying to make this possible. However, the closest we get to 'directly purchasable' is 'pay >$20 for 1 guaranteed gemstone'. But that's not the worst part! The bundles cost 2950rp. That's 150rp more than the $20 buying option. So if you want 1, you have to spend $35. 2 for $50, yielding a leftover amount of 1300rp. So if I want 3, the $10 - 1350rp option doesn't cover it so I have to pay $20 more dollars JUST FOR ENOUGH RP TO BUY MY 3RD! Now I'm $70 in a hole with 3 guaranteed gems. I've heard of people getting more than 3 gems from spending $50 on regular chest bundles, having no guaranteed gemstones from the start.

When riot banned Tyler1, they said they 'still had our back'. They don't. They're a business so I never expected them to. However, it really rubs me the wrong way when they pretend to care while all they're doing is wiping their butts with money rolls. Meanwhile, the community clings to false promises. I'll be keeping my money, Riot.

Confused about something i saw on the Project: Disruption page.. So if i buy project fiora now for 1350 do i get the first strike or not? I thought the older project skins wouldn't have first strike anymore considering it was a one time thing..?

Why is it so complicated. Why can't we just have "buy X skin and get X skin"? Why such a tacked on layer of crafting to nickle and dime people? Ugh.

So the craft and bundle are buyable, but the skins by themselves are not.

Edit: They finally became buyable after a bit of waiting.

what the fk is a gemstone and a cache?? its 3k RP for for 1 gemstone and 10 caches? Can someone explain wtf these are and why they are charging so much for things that arnet even skins??
