ARURF Extended for 4 More Weeks

Hey all you ultra-rapid-manatees! ARURF will be extended for two more patches (9.5 and 9.6) as a gift to all those who've been enjoying the game mode. Existing members of the Golden Spatula Club will get to keep their benefits throughout the next four weeks, but players will no longer be able to enter the Golden Spatula Club unless they purchased their admission before February 15, 2019. Head on over to the Patch 9.5 Notes for the latest balance changes for ARURF.

Similarly I was planning to start grinding ranked. Bought the pass thinking it would be a bigger deal and now want to get my max money's worth. Oh well, at least it's fun.

Awesome, now what about Nexus Blitz???

[slayer-jinx-wink] Seriously, Nexus Blitz was the biggest hit ever......lost count of the number of friends who couldn't stand summoners and left the game because of it, but came back for Nexus Blitz and LOVED it. So many ppl would come back to league if Nexus was a permanent mode.

A lot of ppl were annoyed wit the AR in urf. A TON of people loved Nexus, it brought old players back and fixed one of the biggest problems that kept people away from league even though they loved the champs/game - long af games. That 18min enrage on a new map was enough of a change to make the mode awesome, add in all the other awesome stuff? Woah!

URF is awesome, the AR sucks but it's still fun. But the demand to make Nexus permanent is a lot stronger/louder than the demand to make this ARURF permanent....o_O

Now maybe regular URF might be more popular than, or just as popular as, Nexus Blitz, but not the ARURF we have now.

THe only reason there is a demand to make Blitz permanant is because it was announced as the next permanent mode.

Huh?? They have NOT confirmed Nexus to be a permanent mode. They said there's a chance if things go well, and then gave nothing else concrete and took it away.

The demand is there because there is nothing confirmed about it and people want it. Even if it was confirmed that doesn't change the fact that there's demand to have them put it in-game asap?!!?!? o_O

Ummm no, it was announced as the potential next permanent mode. The reason they took it away, is because it was an open beta test, which ended, like clash. They are already planning on making it permanant. It is not intended to be an rgm.

It was known from the start that the mode is intended to be permanent. That's why every time it has returned there are massive improvements aiming towards the final release.

I have been talking with many friends and players. I think Riot should start a poll to make ARURF a permanent game mode. I think Odyssey should have been make permanent, but we need another mode that is permanent besides the mains. 3v3 is almost dead with 3+ min queues, ARAM is old news. I've been playing ARURF for weeks now and frankly I could play it for years to come. Look what happened with SMITE and other games? They keep all the game modes they create leaving their games with diversity. League needs this to keep things fresh.

Both ARURF and Nexus Blitz are fun but can we let’s talk about One For All for a moment? If I’m not mistaken, the last time OFA was here was sometime in season 6. I wish it comes back once a year like any other RGM.

Not should, but Definitely. Playing ARURF is fun but theres so many over powered champions in that gamemode. Literally pick those champs (Fizz, Malphite, Katarina, Hecarim, Etc) and you'll carry 80% of the time. It's really who pick the op champion wins. Theres rarely any mechanics in that game mode as all you have to do is smash your face on the keyboard and over half the time you'll kill someone.

That's awesome - it reminds me of the very first time URF was released, and it was so unexpectedly popular that they left it up for something like more than twice as long as originally planned.

this game mode sucks, anything with "a" before it is just an inferior version of whatever game mode it could be.

Its not the best Game mode but still the 2nd best game mode.. the best was the Blind Version with unlimited shaco boxes and unlimited maokai tres those times were fun. AR URF still the best game mode compared to 3v3 or dominion or hexakill or doomboots or any other mode except blind urf that is 1#

Why don't we just make normals generate as much gold and exp as Urf so we can have shorter games outside of ranked? Your casual players want shorter matches.
