The ultra rapid fire is winding down

There’s only a few days left to embrace your inner Teemo and terrorize the URF battlefields. Ultra Rapid Fire returns to the Featured Game Mode workshop on April 13 at 2 AM PDT, so if you’re still looking to grab the Thinking Manatee Icon for finishing a game of URF or you want to try out your favorite champ in the hyperactive maelstrom of mayhem, the time is now!

Remember that while the finisher icons themselves are permanent additions to your icon arsenal, you’ll only be able to use the finisher animations in Ultra Rapid Fire mode until it ends. Don’t forget to pick up the Urf Triumphant ward skin or the 99,999 RP Icon if you were looking to add those to your collection, as well. If you’re looking to nab that suite of silly skins, you’re in the clear: they’re not legacy, so they’ll be available year-round.

A lot of stuff to get through, but we know it’s easy to get distracted by all the insanity of URF, so thanks for taking this quick break with us, and we’ll see you on the battlefield!

Please.... PLEASE. Just give it to us MORE THAN ONCE A YEAR. I can deal with twice a year, three times a year would be better. Please just dont make us wait358 more days till we get urf back...

Having this come around a second time really showed how it's somewhat overrated. I'd love for it to be an annual game mode on April Fools Day, but I'm somewhat glad it isn't permanent. Thanks for letting us play it, RITO.

So looking through a lot of the comments, I see some people already saying their goodbye's and their "Thanks rito!"'s, but others are saying that URF should stay and be a permanent game. Why not do both and make URF a custom only featured game-mode until April Fools day; where URF turns into a matchmaking featured game-mode?

I must disagree with putting Urf away. Sure- it might get old, and is completely unbalanced, but the game-mode's biggest weaknesses are it's greatest strengths. Being able to flash on command, and spam abilities makes you feel empowered. If you think you should put away a fun game mode on the sole purpose of "it gets old" then I got something for you; don't play it if you're not in the mood to. The best course of action is to leave the game mode available just like the other game mode services. It's there when you want it, and for people that strictly play the game for Urf too. I know a lot of people play strictly bot games, and that's completely fine with me, and shouldn't be catered to only Summoner's Rift casual, and competitive players.

All these Comments about wanting URF mode to be permanent... I played the game mode everyday since it came out and all I see is the same champ over and over harassing the enemy team and it does gets kinda boring overtime. And there's even those people complaining they won't play any other modes than URF, don't play the game in the first place if you're not gon appreciate that Riot given the players the chances to play these random game modes.
