Yes--it's a bug and we're working on fixing it. It should be working for people who are completing the mission now, but we're still working to make sure it gets to everyone that's already completed it. Sorry about that.

No, the first mission doesn't require an icon, it rewards one. Only apparently it's bugged rn.

And just like that all my RP is gone again and I (pretty much) got nothing to show for it. But hey, it's the anticipation I enjoy. :3 Plus whatever stuff I'm gonna get from all these missions too. (Hopefully.)

Seriously though, out of 9 orbs (four Great, five Mega) 5 of them gave me Katarina skins (all of which I own), and of course not a single one gave a bonus drop.

Chests are always a gamble. Especially the Mega Orbs since you only get legacy skins. If you're really lucky, they'd drop some of the recent holiday/esports skin shards.

I love Battle Boss Malzahar's polygonal art style, and the Void Ooze vfx looks so cool! It's like those awesome sidewalk drawings that make it look like you're going to fall through the sidewalk.

Arcade Hecarim. It's skin lore.

Since when is Ahri a hero? Since when are Ziggs and Blitzcrank villains? Skin lines create alternate story-lines for characters, outside of their normal Runeterra lore. So you have the PROJECT story, the Star Guardian story, etc. These aren't related to the champions normal stories since they can't be. It's a reimagining.

I'm not being arrogant at all. They said something in "Ask Riot" just 2 months ago about skins not being canon if you didn't already assume that anyways. It's pretty obvious that Mecha Cho'Gath and Gentleman Cho'Gath couldn't exist in the same world. There's not really anything arrogant about it. Put a few seconds into thinking about it and you've got your answer.

Arrogant: showing an offensive attitude of superiority - in this case, you are making fun of people for not something that you know. It may not have been intentional, but it is quite accurate. Also, apologies for responding 2 months later, I haven't been on the site to see that I have messages until I got the mission to pick for worlds.

You could have said "that was answered in ask riot some months back - skins are outside of character canon" and I would have been like "oh, hey, that makes sense" and we could have been singing kumbaya... but instead you posted what you did and got a reaction, and only then did you provide some detail, albeit with more arrogance - while saying that it was not arrogant, to boot.

See that's the thing: in this skin lore he's not an evil monster at all. He's a magical rainbow unicorn centaur robot: pretty much completely different from his normal lore other than still being a centaur of sorts.

Take Poppy for example: a pure-hearted yordle devoted and dedicated to Demacia because of her dedication to Orlon. Her mission is to find a great Hero of Demacia for the preservation of the nation. And then there's Noxus Poppy. Obviously a complete opposite. Skins offer the chance of completely separate reality. They can be a reimagining of a champion in a new story, or even a new world.

Anyone having bugged orbs? It states when opening an orb, you have optional loot drops and potential BONUS loot. Once with a Good Orb and then AGAIN with a Mega Orb it only dropped another orb. No original loot, I essentially opened an orb into another orb. Anyone else have this same problem?

I don't know if any Rioter will read this, but I still wanna vent up. A few days ago, right before the Arcade event was over, I did all the missions for each boss. I was so happy I did it, but then the secret icon mission appeared, which I was not aware of (I didn't visit this page). And I just had one day to accomplish it. I had trouble doing this mission because of its difficulty (for me), and on that day I was busy all day, so I just had the evening to do it. After several attempts, I finally fulfill the mission to win the icon. Then I realized I didn't get it because the mission expired 2 minutes before that particular game ended. I was so close to getting that icon, and all that effort I put into doing that mission was for nothing. My only question is this: is that particular icon ever coming back?
