Honor 5 Chromas coming soon

Update: Lots of you have pointed out that our initial announcement promised both Honor 5 chromas, not just one. To make good on our original promise, this year only, all Honor 5 players will get two Honor 5 tokens instead of one. (This means a first-time Honor 5 player can get both skins this season, or a skin and its chroma.)

If you've been super honorable (and a little lucky) for the past few seasons, you might already have both exclusive Honor 5 reward skins: Medieval Twitch and Grey Warwick. When patch 9.16 launches, we're adding chromas for both skins as a way to recognize the most sportsmanlike players. We'll add new chromas for these skins each season to keep the rewards coming.

THIS YEAR ONLY your 2019 Honor 5 capsule will contain TWO Honor 5 tokens that can be redeemed for Medieval Twitch, Grey Warwick, or one of these new chromas (if you already own the base skin). If Twitch is your one true love, you can go right for his new chroma instead of picking up Grey Warwick! (Sorry, doggo.) Capsules also contain a random emote or ward skin. In future years, Honor 5 capsules will contain one Honor 5 token.

We also know a bunch of you have already hit Honor 5—great work! If you already owned both Grey Warwick and Medieval Twitch when you received your Honor 5 Capsule this year, we’ll send you two Honor 5 tokens during patch 9.16 drops so you can redeem both of these new chromas.

Odd, the original post 6 months ago said that if you own both skins, and get to honor 5, you'll get BOTH chromas, now its only 1?

Though happy you have not forgotten about Honor rewards I kinda hoped you would bring 2 new honor skins with the lost sewn chaos Blitz and Amumu, like I don't think they need to be high spec skins, I mean its just a reward for not being a dick but I feel like simply adding chromas each year might devalue the skins and what they represent now.

I think it's pretty disapointing to have chromas on the same skin from last year. I was expecting another exclusive skin with chromas...

Kind of frustrated by the fact I've had honor five every year but I didn't get either the first year so I don't get a chroma despite being honorable :( Feels like extra salt in the wound of missing out due to rng in the first place.

Wish I could get one of them. Too bad because of how the honor system works I will never get Honor 5 by the end of the season despite being very consistently honored and having amassed a ton of them just because I transferred around May and my honor level reset. And it's not like ranked where I can just grind back to where I was before the transfer.

Perhaps next season, you'll make Silver Kayle an achievable skin for high honours, seeing as it fits with the rest of the donor skin line. Just a thought, it be really cool for people to get the chance to try and earn that skin.

Why oh why are we not opening up the option to be rewarded with one common or uncommon skin of our choice?

This way, everyone has the potential to get a skin they want and not a skin for a champion they don't play..

If you were unlucky (only have one skin) and hit Honor 5 early (which should be a good thing) you lose out on the ability to choose between the chroma and the other skin? Feels like I'm being punished for getting honored...

I feel like some of these salty complainers in this thread aren't going to be hitting honor 5 anyway... ;)

It is good to keep the rewards fresh and spicy if you want them meaningful, though, of course.

Honor 5 really isn't hard to get. Just try your best in each game. Even when things look hopeless, don't afk in fountain or grief your team. When people are toxic, /mute all. I'd recommend muting pings too because people will shower you with "?" pings if you make a mistake. If you absolutely must say something back, do so out loud. You'll feel better, and you won't give the flamer the satisfaction of knowing they got under your skin.

So in short, just play your best and don't type. Works every season.

I hit honor 5 about a month before 9.16 went live. I got an honor capsule a couple days ago (about a week into 9.16) and the chromas were not in it??? (I already have both the ww and twitch skins)

No one really honors in my games except for their friends. How am I supposed to climb honor if no one honors, especially supports D:[sg-janna]

I have already gotten two level 5 capsules before patch 9.16 about a month ago and they contained basically nothing, keys shards and blue essence. I don't think i should of opened them but quite frankly why did i receive two capsules if they were only good at a certain release patch a month after i got the second one.

I did receive an Honor 5 Token, but just one. I thought we were supposed to be able to get both chromas?

Edit: Seems like you can only store 1 token at a time, relogging grants a second token. (Idk why that's the case but two tokens is two tokens I guess).

Are these chromas exclusive to this year only? Like, how Prestige skins redeemable through Prestige Points are only obtainable through the points for a year, are these chromas exlusice just for 2019 and next year when you introduce new chromas these 2019 ones become unobtainable? If so, will they be obtainable another way or at a later date?

Hey to LOL staff, I agree that getting to Level 5 requires a lot of positive feedback by those that make it there. It deserves a VERY Special reward. Why not let Honor 5 players pick ANY skin ever made? Even special skins, not currently available, or one with a special requirement. Put H5 2019 or the Honor 5 ward WATERMARK somewhere on the skin ART... so those playing against that 'special skined' person KNOW they are an Honor 5 player and that they chose THAT SKIN as their favorite of ALL skins that year! The upshot for LOL is that you do not have to make ANY new skins... just watermark the one chosen with that year's watermark! The bonus for LOL players is that they can get ANY skin made EVER for a champion they play, love or just collect. The watermark will let all know this and preserve the integrity of the original skin requirements! WHAT A GREAT INCENTIVE TO MAKE IT TO THE HONOR 5 LEVEL EACH YEAR! ANY SKIN MADE... ONCE A YEAR after LOTS of positive playing at League! That's a great PLUS for league, all Honor 5 players and the League community in general. Bad behavior has plagued LOL in the past and this might help lessen that to some degree... ANY degree would be a major positive for League play.

Ok so I just hit honor level 5 last night. Here I'm seeing a post saying I should have gotten two tokens for either midevil twitch or grey warwick or their chromosomes. I only received midevil twitch shard permanent. Has this changed or did mine not do it correctly? I like the twitch skin but honest dont play him much and was hoping for the warwick skin. Side note it's hilarious you guys offer a skin for a rat as a reward for honor

Edit.. auto correct changed chroma to chromosomes. I decided to leave it for comedic value

Really bummed I won't be getting the tokens. I hit honor 5 before the update but only had the twitch skin prior. I got grey ww in this year's capsule. Kind of unfair that I would even get even 1 token for a chroma when a 1st time honor 5 would get one skin and one chroma or 2 skins.
