Underworld Wukong explores the darkness

Riot·Oct 13, 2014·3 votes·89,738 views

The black mist grasps at Underworld Wukong, clinging to his staff as he explores the Shadow Isles. A circlet holds back his mane of wild hair to reveal gleaming emerald eyes. His bladed tail swats away a particularly annoying tendril of vapor as Wukong chuckles softly to himself. He twirls his staff and prances further into the darkness.

Traverse the abyss with Underworld Wukong available for 1350 RP (on sale for 975 RP through October 28), before going into the Legacy Vault on November 4.

Its a good day for wukong mains across the world

Unfortunately, the splash art is infinitely more credible than the actual skin in-game. Again, that's just my opinion, but I'm just slightly disappointed.

Punypaul98Oct 25, 20143 votes

Yea your right i wish it did have more of a wow in game but at least the particles look nice i just wish the texture was better like how blitz looks now Blitzcrank

XierSROct 25, 201412 votes

...That's Definitely Not Blitzcrank.

iEuroKingOct 27, 20142 votes

I wasn't satisfied with the skin either. The splash art was gorgeous, but what really killed the skin for me, was the recall. I feel they could have done much better with it.

Ryze + Thresh = Underworld MonkeyKing

Wuju LordOct 24, 20148 votes

Unfortunately, I gotta say that I am less than impressed. This skin concept is just so... plain. The staff looks like he had two different thresh lanterns that were stretched and put on each end, he isnt even really wearing anything on his torso... The leggings are cool and the left arm gauntlet looks nice, but I gotta say He just looks plain.

The axe tail thing was a huge turnoff for me. It just looks WRONG; the monkey king with an axe tail? I would have gladly accepted spikes or maybe even a barbed hook tail, but an AXE? No... stick to the staff and build on it; its his iconic weapon.

The beard looks a little silly. He's a monkey. With a beard. Think about that for a moment.

I've been waiting for a good wukong skin myself, but this simply isnt it. I am dissapointed.

2/10 would not buy.

Stinging LiverOct 25, 20147 votes

I like the axe tail. It is a reference to the story "The Pit and the Pendulum" by Edgar Allen Poe. The pendulum in the story is often depicted like a blade, similar to the one Wukong has on his tail in this skin

"...to reveal gleaming emerald eyes." ??? In the splash art, they are blue... ....Details Maine, details

LoL SynesthesiaOct 26, 20143 votes

For those of you confused it states the skin is on sale for 975 till 10/28/14. Then it goes to its normal 1350 price until 11/4/14. After that you will likely have to wait a full year before it becomes available again.

"before going into the Legacy Vault on November 4."

Thresh + Trundle =new MonkeyKing ?

5G8Nri0B54Oct 25, 20142 votes

My question is...for a 1350RP, why Wukong? For most 1350 champions, a lot of things are changed and you get all these awesome new particles, etc.

But Wukong has like nothing to work with. What makes this a 1350 RP skin?

Rengar SupportOct 25, 20142 votes

New voice, new particles, sound animations, recall, death animation. Yeah pretty much everything for a 1350rp skin.

Stinging LiverOct 25, 20142 votes

I like the reference to Edger Allen Poe's "Pit and the Pendulum" in this skin. Wukong's tail is the pendulum :P

CôffeeOct 25, 20142 votes

Still waiting for a new Jinx skin.

demonboy217Nov 5, 20152 votes

Can some PLEASE tell me why this skin hasn't come back for Harrowing 2015? I started to main MonkeyKing a few months ago but i wasn't around to buy the skin and i was really hoping to get it this year. Does anyone know when it will actually come back out?

KamzacMay 3, 20162 votes

Did this skin will be avalaible at 2016 harrowing sale. PLS RIOT FOR MonkeyKing underworld Love.

PiooOct 24, 20141 votes

Is this going to be permanent? Because the Leblanc Skin and the Wukong skin is under the Limited Availability.

Wuju LordOct 25, 20142 votes

i think it's gonna become legacy harrowing after this event ends. Maybe. They were a little unclear about it werent they?

iEuroKingOct 27, 20142 votes

They always make Harrowing skins unavailable after Halloween. But most of the time, you'll see it again next year when the 2015 Harrowing event comes around. They do the same thing with the Christmas themed skins

rtbf65433152Jul 21, 20151 votes

When will Underworld Wukong be available again? I started playing League of Legends earlier this year and I main Wukong, I'd love to have this skin.
