January sales schedule

Riot·Dec 19, 2016·3 votes·166,417 views

Check out all the champs and skins on sale this January! Like previous sales schedules, we’re not posting the exact dates for each champ and skin, but they’ll all be on sale sometime next month.

Just a heads up – since we’re publishing these in advance, we won’t offer partial refunds on champs and skins purchased before they go on sale.

LorysterDec 21, 20164 votes

Could someone explain what the "early sale" is?

Hungry CancerDec 21, 201624 votes

The early sale is about 4-6 months after a skin comes out, the skin gets a discount during the early sale and then does not come back on sale until it hits the sale rotation as a half price skin. This early sale replaces the release sale that used to occur for the first few days after a skin was released. The early sale lowers the cost of the skin by one price tier ie 1850-1350, 1350-975, 975-750, etc.

But when? I'm still waiting for the December early sales so I can pick up Arcade Corki

Oblivious DenialDec 22, 20162 votes

This weekend. It's always the weekend that's closest to the 22nd of that month. And same, I gonna get Arcade Corki, too. As well as Dark Star Thresh :3

BlurrinessDec 23, 20161 votes

well then, if arcade ahri is in sale, why isn't arcade ezreal ?... i'm still waiting for that skin to be in sale ! thanks

Hungry CancerJan 7, 20172 votes

They often break up sets of skins, like the arcade set, over 2 or 3 early sales that's why it's 4-6 months as opposed to exactly 4 or 6 months after release. They often do a few at 4, then maybe some at 5, then the best ones at 6 months, it spreads it out and increases the chances of players being able to buy the whole set as most people prefer to spend a little bit every month or two instead of a bunch at once and so it allows players to spread their spending out across 3 months and still get a decent deal. The downside is that if you only want one or two skins out of the set you could wind up waiting a full 6 months for the early sale.

Ramen Is FireJan 24, 20171 votes

Im looking to buy the high noon Yasuo croma. Have they already gone on sale or do I have to wait to get them still?

Caesar of SaladDec 21, 20162 votes

for a certain time after a skin is released, it won't go on sale for the full 50% off, idr how long said time is though... they go on Early Sale instead.

Linna ExcelDec 21, 20163 votes

For the 1850 skins, I think it is the only time they'll be on sale.

Hungry CancerJan 7, 20172 votes

That is true, legendary and ultimate skins only come on sale during the early sale and are never subject to the half price sales 12 months after release.

Hungry CancerDec 20, 20163 votes

No Spirit Fire Brand yet item 3070

I feel like Gentlemen Gnar is on here as a mistake: He was on this month's schedule already, seems odd he'd be on it ~month later.

SinisterCouteauJan 24, 20172 votes

Time to ask riot where the early sales are.... usually supposed to come out at this time.

JayStu11Jan 25, 20172 votes

still waiting....riot screwed up. they have 6 more days to post the "early sales". so far, nothing. disappointed.

StressFreeJan 26, 20172 votes

Guys the early sale will probably be this Friday as it always starts on a Friday and end on Monday. But its usually the weekend before the last week in the month which was last weekend so I dont know why its so late.
