The Tales of the Kindred Act 4: Metal and Bone Episode 5: Soul Harvest
(Back at the battle of Mordekaiser, Yorick, and Kindred, the fight had been going easily in Kindred's favor. As great and powerful as Mordekaiser was, his morningstar was never going to be fast enough to catch Lamb or Wolf, and Yorick was proving to be more of a fight that Mordekaiser expected.)
: You've lost your touch Mordekaiser. All those years sitting in your castle have left you old and fat.
: I'm not fat. My visuals just need updating.
: No argument there. I'm sure someone in the underworld can help with that. (Mordekaiser swung Nightfall up to prepare for a massive twohanded smash, but then he shouted in pain. The great weapon fell from his hands.)
: What is happening?
: Something must have happened to his bones! (Mordekaiser thrashed and shouted at the world, the necrotic magics beginning to lose their control.)
: Then the time has finally come. (Lamb's arrow of true death shimmered in her hand. She drew the bowstring back, and aimed carefully at Mordekaiser. Satisfied with her aim, she released the arrow, and it struck Mordekaiserin a gap of his armor.)
: And thus the mighty have fallen. (Mordekaiser made no parting statement, no struggle. The great suit of armor just fell over, its wearer now gone.)
: And now we can finally save those souls. (Lamb held her bow over the armor, and all of the souls from Karthus's book, Thresh's lantern, and Mordekaiser's twisted resevoir slowly flew into Lamb's bow.)
: We came with one quest. And we're finally finished with it. What will happen to the Shadow Isles now?
: Without Mordekaiser, the darkness will pass. Night will eventually give way to dawn. And when it does, I know of two people who will be quite busy.
: Who?
: Maokai and myself. We will try to restore the ancient spring of life water that used to be here, and then we will cleanse the isles.
: I wish the best of luck to you on that quest. Now we have to go and escort these souls.

(Lamb and Wolf departed, stepping into the spirit realm and releasing the souls of the fallen to be judged there. Yorick did find Maokai, and the good news stirred the great treant into a motivation he hadn't felt in eons. The great suit of armor that had been Mordekaiser was sealed in the castle, guarded by arcane runes of Yorick's work.) (But even after his death, the armor has an evil aura to it, and a sense that all may not be finished. For when Yorick moved the armor of Mordekaiser to the castle, he only found one body in the castle, a victim of Vilemaw.)
