One will emerge victorious… the other will be consumed. Kayn is available now.

In the carnage that shall soon follow, the most deadly Kayn players can earn two limited-edition summoner icons by completing these missions:

The Shadow Path

Unlock the Shadow Assassin icon by completing the following objectives:

Play 5 games as, with, or against Shadow Assassin Kayn
Win one PVP game as Shadow Assassin Kayn
Get a Killing Spree as Shadow Assassin Kayn

The Darkin Path

Unlock the Darkin Rhaast icon by completing the following objectives:

Play 5 games as, with, or against Darkin Kayn
Win one PVP game as Darkin Kayn
Get a Double Kill as Darkin Kayn

These missions will run from 08:00 PT July 12 through 23:59 PT Aug 13. Objectives can be completed in any order on any matchmade PVP mode (no AI or Custom games). Complete both Missions to earn both icons!

This is probably pretty accurate, Riot almost certainly releases champions in their unbalanced states to increase the hype and get more people interested in him so that the release skin will sell, therefore making them more money, and once the money stops rolling in, that is when they nerf them.

Pity that I can't get the icons through AI. I'm no jungle or top lane player and trying to get to play him is going to be difficult as everyone is going to rush pick him or ban him.

Guys stop complaining about having to play him. Kayns been released for a few hours and I haven't seen him get banned once. Plus he'll be in the free rotation in 2 weeks anyways so you don't have to buy him.

As much as I love you guys, you do realize everyone else is going to pick / ban him right? It's cool that we don't have to play him to achieve one of the requirements, but needing to get a killing spree or double kill shall be the tricky part. Oh well, icons be free if you're determined so I can't complain.

He has only been available for a couple of hours and you already claim to be a Kayn main. Sounds about right. Know your team cringes when you pick him in ranked. With-in 5 minutes of game play they are cussing / tilting. At 10 they ask themselves "Is he inting? Right?" Make sure to show your team that you have a horrible ping. Because, clearly that is always the reason someone feeds.
