JHlNfinity edge5 votesI completely agree. I love the emotes, they are one of the coolest ideas that riot has come up with recently: but I would like to see them purchasable with blue essence. Even if they made them a ridiculously high blue essence price (say 5k blue essence?) I'd still be happy. I own every champ in the game and have endless amounts of blue essence to spend, I think it would be a good thing to have something to sink my excess essence into.
PS: Fun idea after seeing the RIP zoe emote (not sure if confirmed?), I would love a cartoon emote of Solo's eye roll after he got stomped by Kled top.... hell i'd even pay real money for it. Great way to show frustration after those "ONE MORE AUTO!" moments.
frickenate1 votesTo be fair, you probably shouldn't have "endless amounts of blue essence to spend". The Blue Essence Emporium at end of last season should have been enough to drain nearly everyone down to the point where we are scraping by on acquiring new champion releases. It seems some people refused to spend all their essence on what was offered, and are now complaining about how it's unusable...?
Riot offering new content requiring massive massive amounts of essence would severely piss off everyone who did dump their essence on the Emporium, as it was expected to be the only useful way to spend it all. The day Riot rewards Emporium holdouts by giving them better (or more) content than we got out of it is the day I (truly, actually) uninstall.
Finally, I have 12 emotes (including the default) without having purchased a single one. Between loot boxes for leveling up and simply doing event missions, I already have more free emotes than I was expecting to get in the next couple of years. So, thanks Riot! :)
Nalisai3 votesI spent all my BE during the Emporium, own all the champs, and STILL regularly have over 2-3k BE unspent even AFTER buying Kai'sa. I know people irl who have thousands of BE even after blowing through the emporium - so just because YOU might not own everything and have no BE, other's might...

They nerfed the OE you get from disenchanting shards and then reduced the chances of getting things that can be disenchanted in the first place. This emote BS that is automatically added to the inventory is just a way to further reduce the potential OE gain from boxes. Right now I'm sitting on 10 chests that I can't open because some of them might have emotes in them. It's freaking annoying.

But I still have an average of 5-10k BE... even after buying 1 name change and Kai'sai after the emporium... There still really isnt enough to do with our essence. [sg-lux-2]
