DocPsycho3 votesFrom the sounds of it you can transform as need be (switch between the Darkin mode and the Shadow Assasin). What's the CD on that? Will it have a longer reset between switching when you die as the version? Like if the Darkin side dies and you respawn will the Darkin version be unavailable for a set time?
andrea6 votesIt seems like you start in a base form, then have to pick one of the 2 forms for a single transformation that you keep for the rest of the game. He builds up stacks for one of the two forms based on the type of champions he's killing, and the champ reveal mentions needing to get enough kills to transform by midgame or else he'll fall behind. So even if he can change more than once, it sounds like it takes a decent amount of snowballing to get that option.

SadKill3 votesIt looks like they have a cd and killing champs and getting the blue or red souls reduce the cd of that side respectively. Once you choose, that choice seems final.
So let's say each transformation starts at a base cooldown of 20 minutes and as you kill ranged champions and collect blue souls (red for melee champs) it reduces that one transformation's cooldown by say 10 seconds per soul collected.
I don't know the actual values but that's an example of how I think it's going to work.

THERE ARE PPL WHO LOVE TO GO AGAINST THE GRAIN N PLAY CHAMPS AND/OR BUILDS THAT OTHERS DONT PLAY OR CARE TO PLAY. ALTHOUGH ONE FORM MAY SEEM MORE VIABLE THAN THE OTHERS.. CERTAIN ELO'S WILL REQUIRE THE SUMMONER TO PICK THE FORM THAT BEST COMPLIMENTS WHAT THE TEAM NEEDS, NOT JUST WHICH ONE IS BETTER THAN THE OTHER.

Kayn is an assassin and assassins can be played mid lane, so i was wondering if he could still be viable there? His kit looks like it could favor a jungler, or a roaming mid laner (similar to katarina's roaming potential). I would like to know other's opinions on this. plz discuss my topic.

Variks the Loyal2 votesThe answer is 'yes.' Generally. Untargetability is not a new mechanic. Zed, Fizz, Vladimir, Rek'Sai, Xayah, and Camille can all use it to avoid skillshots and abilities like Karthus' ult. In the case of Zed and Rek'Sai, they leave the map entirely, similarly to how Kayn does. This ult should be no different.
Also, if he ults someone, and that person gets consumed by Kalista or Tahm Kench, is safe to assume the ult will run it's course without doing damage to the consumed target.
Darkened Wolf83 votesAMAZING! I love this character's theme and idea and gameplay and appearance and EVERYTHING ! He definitely looks like someone I'd main, and my type of champion. I love how he dashes, I love his shadow travel ability (Shade Step), I love how original his skillset is, I love how you can adapt with the passive, I love jungling, and I'd love getting those delicious ganks with Shade Step, just jumping out of a wall at the enemy. I love how his aesthetics change with his passive, too. I love how his abilities also have adjustments to them with his passive, and I absolutely ADORE that he has a scythe. I imagine that his dialoge will have him speaking to the scythe and vice-versa, and that his voice changes a bit perhaps depending on the form. I love absolutely everything about this champion. I don't care how hard he is, I will probably main him until I master him and get some good plays. Scythes are my favorite kind of weapon, and we finally get a scythe-weilding champion, plus, it's sentient! I love this so much! Riot totally nailed it with this guy.

Instead he seems to evolve in a manner more like Kha'Zix or Viktor but turned up to 11. Why the decision to go this route as opposed to reversible in-combat transformations?

Support proved to be a healthy and viable alternative, when Sion Top or Jungle was his intended role.
Top proved to be far too reliable and oppressive compared to his intended role in mid, so Riot had to nerf it.

sure that percent health chunk when you first start fighting them but you'd probably do a good ammount of damage anyway without it. Wouldnt it be better to just play him bruiser style and get a shit ton of free lifesteal on top of your lifesteal already and the ult acting like a better ekko ult, with a percent health chunk on both q and ult with a bit of cc?
