Who is Riven? Illustrated Bio

I think it was intentional to make her look ROUGH. I really like the aesthetics, it looks like she has been through a lot. I wish we got more of the story about this mission that shattered her faith!

You really can't take the story of the illustration seriously if it was all pretty and glamorous. I love the illustrations.

I LOVE how much they are making her a badass, so many people complaining that she doesn't look "feminine" enough or she "looks like a guy". I'm sorry was she supposed to wear a nice puffy pink dress with a full face of make up before going into battle and fight to the death??? She has been through a lot and of course her face will express pain and resentment. I also am loving all the attention to lore and stories I have always wondered about the the universe of league and riot is really developing amazing stories and comics that make this game 1000x better.

Illustration wise, she looks terrible. The face, for obvious reasons, and her body is fine, front arm is angled odd, it doesn't match the idea of the sword hanging at the side, and the ear protruding out makes the image kinda ugly. this all being her big center fold piece. Her nose looks bad too. Lore wise good job though. I just can't get behind the illustration at all, and I certainly hope you never incorporate this style to her portraits.

While I do like the overall aesthetics of the images, I do not agree with the facial structures that they have given them. If they made this into a poster or printed out image, I would not want it printed on my walls solely due to the faces. But the emotions that the faces express do come across.

I absolutely love backstories on Riven. she's a very alluring champion that's so fun to play. I hope to see more on riven in the future.

Sorry to break the news everyone, but Riven wasn't meant to meet your horny desires. She's a soldier who's broken in spirit and looking for a purpose.. If you want a champ to beat your willy to, there's plenty like just saying. It's nice to not just have pretty pink princesses flying around summoners rift.

two things. feels incomplete and too abbreviated the other is that she oddly looks like a cross dressed white ekko (if you seen the ekko in his comic)....sad days because I fap to Riven often, now I will never get past it

The roughness of this feels unfinished rather than intentional, its a nice concept piece. The color pallete really brings across the feeling of Riven. I feel like she needs more bio though this feels awfully short.

They shouldn't really go with this "Good looking for a purpose motto" that they're talking about. It's confusing why she has a battle bunny skin if they're going to do that to her

am i wrong to think that this SJW phobia is irrational? It's just a stylized comic page they're not changing riven's face.

What I have never been able to figure out is how she just managed to casually break her sword. In every mentioning of it I've seen it's been like this one, "In anguish, she destroyed her blade." Ya know the very sturdy magic one that's probably been enchanted to be unbreakable so that she can use it to break shields and block axes wielded by the likes of Darius. Casually breaks blade If there is a canon explanation I'm not aware of, could someone please link it, I'm honestly curious.

Yo, seriously, you cant defend her appearance here. You could legit put her up against Quasi Motto and he would look like George Clooney. She literally looks like him, its the nose mostly and the wide face. It's been stated in other places, she is relatively fair and slim faced compared to other noxians.

I usually hate to dis on the art and character development teams, but I feel like they dropped the ball on this one. Sorry guys, I have to stay true to my interests.

nicely drawn actually. An normally i'm captain complain when Riot posts comics. This ones very nice. the first panel looks a little out of place. It actually looks like its done by a different artist. its not bad? its just? off i suppose. Solid A! :D

What the hell is this monstrosity? Why does she look so hideous? She looks like a troll. Nothing like her splash screens. WHY. Are you going to change all her skins too to match her new uglier-than-hell looks? Look at her neck. What is all that saggy skin? What is going on with her eyes and nose? Her ear is like a whole inch lower than a normal person's ear. Is this supposed the be abstract art?

Stop ruining champions we already love.

Change your artist, keep your story writers. Her 3 part story with Yasuo is a delight to read.
