You know the splash art doesn't always come first. What the artist had to base the splash off of (concept and in-game) may have changed after the fact, or they were given artistic liberty to change the tone for better contrast and composition. Plus the in-game models are never as detailed as the splash in the first place, they're simplified to meet performance requirements.

Gragas skins are nice an all, he definitely needed a good one, but Vel'Koz could really use a Deep Terror or even Pool Party skin, he's the only Void monster without an aquatic skin and yet he's the most suited for one. lol

True dat, I forgot about the bug, thanks for calling it out mate. Kha would make a badass mantis shrimp kinda critter. His Death Blossom skin is really sick as a nature oriented skin though if you want to widen the parameters, but Vel doesn't have any nature skins that show him as some kinda critter like the others and I'd really like to see one on him, it's been quite awhile since his last good skin. Bottom line is all the Void monsters need badass aquatic skins because the ocean is badass and offers an alternate Void ecosystem for the monsters to be a part of, it just makes sense.

You can really tell this is one of those ideas that just sounded so weirdly right, and the splash art, off-rip, looked so good! The design team and the rest of Riot just had to go with it.

Decent skin for especially Gragas.. although, I'm quite disappointed at how bright it is. I've noticed many recent skins just super bright, is it a fad? Are you afraid of contrast and saturation now, Riot? Please, lol.. It's a balance, and this is too goddamn bright, it's washed out as hell. I will not be buying this.
