Hey everyone!

In this week’s Lore Update we’re heading back to the edge of the Galaxy for an update to the Odyssey universe!

Since this week’s update is shorter than normal, we’d love to answer any questions you may have about bits of story we’ve shared recently. Check out the last few Lore Updates (9.6 and 9.7) and feel free to leave questions in the comments and we’ll jump in and share what we can (emphasis on “can”)!

We all know that the new Camille picture above is the only new lore we could ever need. I mean, Camille reading the paper? HYPE.

I have some questions about Zyra’s story With The Flowers. Was the Zychid Zyra herself, in a pod form to travel around Shurima? or when a Zychid blooms is Zyra able to connect and travel between them? Or something else completely? Pearls of the Moon makes me think of Nami’s story are they a Targonian flower or is that just a coincidence? The jungle is referred to as Kumangra in this story is that a demonym for the Kumungu jungle or are they different?

Was wondering why you took the description of Ruined King's wife being briefly resurrected as a festering corpse out of Hecarim and Kalista's bios. I know you guys don't like to confirm or deny what you're writing, but will we get more details on what happened there in the future? It seems pretty obvious it's still part of the story but was moved off screen.

really disappointed we didn't actually get new lore going, to be honest, feel like many champions are forgotten in more senses than one and I was hoping this would help wake interest in them while also showing more of them.

What can you tell us about Zalt, and what his inclusion in the Winterspike Road story means for Alistar and the Minotaur Race in general in Valoran? Alistar’s bio made it seem like he was the last of his tribe. Is Zalt from another tribe, are there other Minotaur clans in the Great Barrier/Noxus? Was Zalt brought up in in the Reckoning Arenas like Xin Zhao and sold to the army or is he a loyal born Noxian? Side note did Viscero ever fight Alistar in the arenas or Zalt if he competed? Is the Fleshing different from Reckoning Areas? Really anything you are able to answer would be great!

I've read as much as I can on this alt universe and it begs a few questions out of me. In Kayn's lore it says it works for an emperor which is Jarvan IV which means he's in the Odyssey Universe as well. But from Rhaast's own interactions with the other Dark Star skinned Champs like Thresh and that when he takes over Kayn's body he basically becomes Dark Star Rhaast. From I gather that also means the Dark Star skins are also a part of the Odyssey Universe or they are traveling to these alt universes(Which is fair but as far as I know from Thresh's interactions he's only traveled from galaxy to galaxy from ONE universe) So my questions is since Jarvan also has a Dark Star skin: Is Jarvan already a Dark Star follower and no one just knows of it? Or did Jarvan give Kayn Rhaast hoping he'd be taken over by the scythe serving Rhaast over Thresh?

where is dark star zed? also if possible can you also make a demon based skin for someone like varus or bring in another darkin champion into the game potentially. cus if so that would be dope, if not i understand.

I guess this means skinlines can get lore updates along with the main canon. Well, it's more like an addition than an update.

So, you made us hyped with Demacia with all this going here and there, hopefully culminating into Kayle's return now with the Sylas insurgence and will just let it there hanging? Correct me if I'm wrong but I remember reading in a dev blog that "leaving story hooks is bad both for the writer and the reader". Also, in the recent video at the start of the season you said ".. lore makes you think like the league universe is frozen in place. We're gonna change that."

Nice to see some alt-verse lore expansion, especially because Odyssey is one of my favorite so there is some bias on my part xD
