Starter T3 runes on permanent discount in 2 weeks

A short while ago, there was discussion around making “rune bundles” to help out players who were just getting started on their tier 3 rune pages. After some thought, however, we came to the conclusion that we could do something easier…

On 9/29/2015, we’ll be putting the following tier 3 runes on sale permanently for 50% off:

Greater Mark of Attack Damage: 205 IP ⇒102 IP
Greater Mark of Magic Penetration: 410 IP ⇒205 IP
Greater Seal of Armor: 205 IP ⇒102 IP
Greater Glyph of Magic Resist: 205 IP ⇒102 IP
Greater Quintessence of Attack Damage: 1025 IP ⇒512 IP
Greater Quintessence of Ability Power: 1025 IP ⇒512 IP

Once again, we plan to run this sale permanently, beginning 9/29/2015 at 12 PM PDT. Good luck out there!

This is actually a great idea for new players. Won't help 90% of the community, but its great that they are helping new people get into the game way more easily.

Thank you for finally doing something involved with IP and runes ~

Also, what happened to those price reduction on specific champions when new ones come out?

I think we should have the option to sell runes (for a low amount of IP) since Rune Combiner is dead.

Or be able to buy some for friends using IP, maybe even trade your old ones (with an IP fee for both options. e.g. plus 50-100 IP per rune).

Instead of saying that you're putting them on sale permanently, just say there's a permanent price change.

This doesn't really seem fair. I have all of these runes, at 9 & 3 sets. You should consider refunding at least 50% of the IP per rune. Like you do with the legacy skins RP. I've spent a lot of IP trying to make the best rune pages. item 3151

Although I may be sad that I essentially wasted over 1250 IP, I still say, thanks a bunch Riot. This will make it easier on players to pick up runes. I am happy for this.

The "chat room" is just full of bots that say the exact same thing over and over. It is most definitely a scam. Warn others about this.

EDIT: I love how I try to warn people about something potentially harmful, and they dislike my comment. Ironic.
