These are amazing. I might just have to get her for Sun Goddess. But please update the splashes for Sivir's old skins (Warrior Princess, Spectacular, Huntress, and Bandit)

and Classic.

Yes, I said it.

Ideality1 votes

I know for a fact that warrior princess was updated within the last year, along with a few others

In Vayne6 votes

They weren't updated, they were given the awful chinese splash arts that NEED AN UPDATE. Not to mention as Steel said it, her Classic is awful.

Banned12563 votes

Those splashes are closer to anime styled than "Chinese" (anime is Japanese btw). The real issue is those splashes are not riot's style at all and are out of place. [slayer-jinx-catface]

codesolemn6 votes

He means they are the splash art for China. A little while ago riot integrated some the chinese splash art into the american splashes so now some skins are using the splashes that were previously chinese

Selling traditional skins? Disgusting, thanks for making the OG karma players feel less value of themselves.

SAIZOxRYOMA26 votes

rip the 2 old karma players. seriously though i got traditional karma from hextech crafting a long time ago this isnt anything new

Fimea10 votes

There is a difference. Hextech is about luck. Traditional skins were given to those who owned the champion before. I would like to see something for the people who played her back in season 3, before her rework. Just like the crown for Championship Riven or some kind of special border.

ChallengerTier10 votes

yeah, might as well also give skins to every player who had galio, warwick, skarner, darius, morde, garen, khazix, rengar, talon, katarina, akali, malazahar and the other 20 champions who have gotten reworked so far.

Kitsunya20 votes

I'm not sure how I feel about what Riot did to Galio :( they said they were going to REWORK him, NOT that they were going to change his lore, his personality, his entire look turning him into an entirely new champ that shares the name "Galio"

The traditional skins, minus Lee Sin's, were based off of full VGU, not from the small reworks, or class updates. So it would be Trundle, Sejuani, Karma, Ryze, Galio, Poppy, Yorick, Sion and Warwick only. Technically Gangplank as well, but Gangplank has the Captain skin. Fiora had a full gameplay update, but not a visual update.

Sejuani, Fiora, and Karma all had complete reworks. Both in the gameplay and visual departments.

Fiora did not, but Karma and Sejuani did, as i stated. Fiora's model stayed relatively the same, but all her abilities changed

Look at her old spotlight, then look at her now. She looks completely different. The only that wasn't charged was her lines.

Don't believe me?

Vast difference in appearance. (Let's not even start on the shitstorm that involves her reworked cape lacking the three stripes)

If you find your self value in regards to a "traditional" skin, you may need to reevaluate everything you're doing [slayer-jinx-unamused]

Johnnyonthespotx3 votes

Tell that to Faker who never uses skins

Except SKT Ryze.

it's pretty disturbing how you took her dark skin and ethnically black features and turned them light and european. karma's voice actors are both black and karma had afro textured hair as well as dark skin. seriously disappointing seeing as there are no other black female champions and she now looks the exact same as well, every other female champ (taliyah and illaoi being notable exceptions)

Le Celly14 votes

Your fake outrage is disturbing [slayer-jinx-unamused]

She has the same complexion across all her skins and updates...

King Asgore4 votes

Sounds like he's complaining about Riot Japan. They did up her skin tone a little too much in their art for an event but even then its not like they made her white in game.

Xypher40 votes

Karma was never black, she was inspired more by Indian culture. Taliyah is not black either, mostly inspired by old Egyptian culture. Illaoi isn't your traditional black lady either, though she is African-inspired. Riot has done a pretty good job at not letting race define their champions.

HERECOMESTHEBUS22 votes

Illaoi is supposed to be more like a Pacific Islander (Hawaiian, Samoan, etc.) than African.

AntiSkillshot38 votes

Karma is Ionian, Taliyah is Shuriman, and Illaoi is from Bilgewater. Seriously get your facts straight people.

Baron of Bread2 votes

Illaoi is from the Serpent Isles, which is where the city of Bilgewater is located (but not from the city itself). Just clarification.

Good Boy Wooloo16 votes

Exactly. These are fake places. Our own racial constructs have no bearing on these people. Karma is from Ionia, which is largely inspired by Asian culture yet we see champions with a range of physical characteristics and racial traits.

Egyptians... Not black. Okay. sure. summoner 3

Also Illaoi isn't black she's most likely Samoan. Also also "traditional black lady" what..

Its okay for a character to be black in league lmao. What is the world coming to.

Whiskeejack4 votes

Well yes there are Black Egyptians, or Nubians, but the majority are Arab who I don't think most people would call "Black"

Th4ren11 votes

Egypt is in Africa...

Sukishoo9 votes

Black. Always black. Her rework even made her MORE Black. Why would they cast BLACK Voice Actress's for her if she wasn't meant to be black anyway? They should have cast an Indian VO instead :P but they didn't.

Seriously, what are Lucian and Ekko then? Are they just some kind of figment of our imagination (<<)

Saelon3 votes

"Why would they cast a BLACK Voice Actress for her if she wasn't meant to be black anyway"

Well that question is countered by the fact that Lucian's voice actor is a white man by the name of Patrick Seitz. Voice Actors skin color does not mean anything. The appearance of the Voice Actor means absolutely nothing.

Sukishoo7 votes

No one cares about him. Both of Karma's voice actors have been black, there's something they are trying to tell us here :P

Saelon6 votes

So I just dug a hole into your argument about how voice actors appearances do not matter and do not effect anything and your literal best response is 'no one cares about him'

Learn to debate your argument in a decent way or you'll just look stupid

Sukishoo6 votes

Karma is the original, Lucian isn't. So again, no one cares about him plus this is a topic on her.

Saelon5 votes

If you don't want people to talk about other champions how about don't bring them up in the fucking topic. You are actually a child if you're going to whine about 'the topic is Karma don't talk about Lucian' when you are the first one to bring up Lucian.

The argument still stands, the appearance of a voice actor means nothing because Lucians voice actor is a white man. Want to talk about how that destroys your argument? Or do you still want to just turn it away because you can't handle begin wrong?

Sukishoo5 votes

Yawn. You know nothing about voice acting kid.

Saelon4 votes

wtf are you talking about I'm not claiming that I know anything about voice acting. I'm just telling you your argument makes ZERO sense and you refuse to actually fire back at my point.

Impulse274 votes

Yes this is a topic on her. but you were the first person to bring up Lucian and Ekko . so I do not know what you are trying to argue Sukishoo.

Sukishoo6 votes

Someone had pointed out other various champions and didn't mention them, that's all I was saying. You really can't comprehend that can you?

Saelon3 votes

You're the one who can't comprehend being wrong about something and just decides to basically ignore an argument instead of actually forming a decent one yourself.

Sukishoo5 votes

No. Still you and them :)

Sukishoo2 votes

Yawn. Only you are wrong here... and pathetically lazy for copy pasting that thing over and over.

Saelon2 votes

How am I lazy if I'm the only one here actually trying to have a conversation and an actual debate with you. You're the one lazily brushing off everything I say refusing to actually debate.

Caring about a fictional characters skin color

What is this...Tumblr?

ManaJunkies20 votes

No, but being represented in media and games is more relatable and enjoyable to see for some underrepresented peoples. So had they whitewashed her, it would have been disappointing.

mvmlego7 votes

I just counted, and there are about 15-18 white, male champions out of 130 total. Maybe it's a problem elsewhere, but it's certainly not a valid criticism of Riot Games.

SeductiveGrandpa3 votes

Cant say I understand why people want fictional characters to represent them in video games, pretty sure they're just games and not ways of representing races of people? Also, I really dont care if they "whitewash" her, I really only care that the art is up to par, astounding to look at, and isn't incorrectly showcasing her in-game appearance like some of the older splashes did.
