I would've set it to the match start emote to say "I'm sorry I picked an overnerfed champ. I'm not a troll, I just love Zoe more than victory."
I would've set it to the match victory emote to say "I’m sorry I couldn't get even a single kill the entire game, but thanks for carrying me."
I would've set it to the top emote to say "I’m sorry, I know Paddle Star doesn't do any damage anymore, I just throw it out of habit and nostalgia."
I would've set it to the bottom emote to say “I’m sorry my level is so low, my minion clear was reduced to compensate for how strong Zoe was in all the other ways that she no longer is anymore.”
I would’ve set it to the left emote to say “I’m sorry that the RNG isn’t working in my favor this game, but getting a lucky draw off of Spell Thief is all I really have to work with now.”
I would’ve set the right emote to say “I’m sorry, enemy, but it’s not worth it to wake you up by following up Sleepy Trouble Bubble with anything else anymore, so instead I’m just going to leave you asleep to waste as much of your time as possible.”
And I would’ve set it to the center emote to say “Sorry, my poor performance has nothing to do with Zoe. The truth is, I have never been good at this game and never will be. Riot could change Zoe’s Ultimate to make the enemy’s nexus to immediately explode and my win rate would probably still be below 50%.”

When Riot revealed this emote on the day that 8.4 rolled out, I totally planned to set my entire wheel to it for the rest of the patch.
I don't really mind that Zoe got nerfed. Heck, I don't really mind that Zoe got ubernerfed as long as it was a well intentioned mistake in balancing. But I do sort of mind that Riot rolled out an ubernerf apparently well aware that it was an ubernerf.
I totally support and trust Riot to nerf whatever they need to so that matches are fair and fun, but this felt less like that and more like a show of capitulation to extreme anti--Zoe sentiment at the expense of those of us who were having fun with her.
In any case, as of 8.5 this is all water under the bridge, as she does feel better now. While I'll need to play more to get a better read if she's in a good state, at least now when I feel like I'm playing kind of well I get reasonably decent results which is way better than my experience in 8.4 where I could hit skill shots consistently and it still didn't matter much.
penguiking3 votesHuh, yeah it was kinda powerful of a Nerf. I honestly wouldn't know how hard it affected her, I'm an Anivia main so yeah, I counter her. But honestly, first match I saw of her after her Nerf, she was still pretty powerful. Her Q and E combo still hits like a fuckin nuke, XD. I've truthfully never thought she was broken, she was basically like lux really, she all's-in with her abilities to get kills and needs CDR for it. I haven't seen her much now so meh, but yeah, her abilities (basically all of them. With the exception to W and Ult.) Can be blocked by minions and her W has short range unless near a wall. And her Q requires distance-traveled really. Her W doesn't exactly do TOO much and requires summoner spells to work. Which have long-ass CD after use. In my opinion she didn't need a ubernerf. Barely needed a Nerf at all. I found her fun. (Even if I was horrible with her XD.)
Lafirenze1 votesI pretty much played Zoe exclusively during 8.4, trying all sorts of different builds in an attempt to work around her nerfs and just couldn't find one that felt like I was getting the results I would want when played well. Though on the plus side, trying to win without her Q has led me to use her kit in a more balanced way, which is probably healthier. These days, I'm more likely to finish someone off with a sneaky portal jump + more sparkles or wear them down with Spell Thief missiles and only resort to her signature E+Q combo sparingly to mix things up.

Vhan87657 votesHonestly, I love that Zoe emote. Probs gonna wait for it to go on sale before considering getting it; not only are emotes still rather pricey, but when you can only have on 5 a game and there is already probably almost 50 emotes, it seems a little silly owning too many.
