League of Legends 2019 Comic Contest

Season 2019 is in full swing and to celebrate, we’re hosting a comics contest focused on highlighting teamwork in all its glory. Whether that shows you kill securing the last enemy after your friend’s quadrakill, a sick save from a saintly support, or a 5-champ Ori ult and the resulting dogpile of destruction, we want to see moments you’ve shared with friends that make League awesome!


THE PROMPT

Create a 3-panel comic that shows off an example of incredible teamwork in League of Legends. These can be in-game moments, or just cool head-canon stories you cook up with champs interacting in Runeterra, but they need to focus on teamwork! Use the template that we’ve created (PSD, PNG) and include your Summoner Name and Server in the upper right hand corner. You may also work traditionally (physical pen/paper/etc.) if you so desire, but it must conform to the template! And show us some teamwork!

THE RULES

There are some rules that are unique to this competition, so please read the following carefully along with the general info below.

  • Reporting In: You must submit your entry through Woobox

  • English Please: All entries with text must be in English.

  • Sign Your Work: All entries MUST include your Summoner Name and Server integrated into the upper right hand corner of your art!

    • NO WATERMARKS

  • Use the template: Make sure your comic is created using our template file (PSD, PNG) and submitted as a JPEG or PNG.
  • Size matters: We’ve got all sorts of new-fangled gadgets that compress and unzip things, but for this contest, let’s agree that 10 MB is the max.

  • Keep it clean: we all enjoy a dirty joke now and then, but for equal-opportunity fanfare and celebration, these comics need to be age-appropriate for the youngest players.

  • It Takes All Types: Entries can be digital or traditional.

  • No Photos or Screenshots: We love cosplay, and awesome stories in photo form can be some of the best around, but for this contest, any photographic or screenshot based “comics” would be disqualified.

  • Verified Email: Each artist who submits an entry must have have a valid League of Legends Summoner Name and verified email address. Click here to verify your email.

  • Eyes on the Prize: Potential winners will be contacted via the email associated with the submitter’s League of Legends account, so please make sure its correct before submitting your entry and watch it closely after the contest deadline.

JUDGING

The community will have a chance to choose their favorites before Riot Games picks the final winners. The community vote is to help us more quickly see what you all think is high quality or resonant, but is not the only factor we use to help us decide final winners.

Does it have to be actual teamwork like a save or wombo combo, or can it be bad teamwork like ryze ulting in instead of out?

I'd like to give some quick Feedback at gis point:

  • Voting should start when the deadline is over, not as soon as the first submissions come in. People submitting later would be at a disadvantage.
  • Why was this not announced on EUW news or even facebook ?
  • The memotions contest was pretty messy. I was hoping Riot would sort out duplicates or unqualified entries before they let us vote, but since voting opened immediatedly...
  • I get the idea of letting peeps decide the first round, but this process is so chaotic and unfair. Instead of letting everyone browse through all entries, how about a few Rioters do it and let us vote on a chosen few ? Otherwise it's really just luck if someone sees "your" entry. I just don't like the Weebox voting.
  • It's also a thing if you have some followers who you can just show your entry to and ask for votes. (There's one entry in there with 500+votes) while everyone else is less than 100.

I'm almost done with my comic, but I read the rule saying that I need to use the template provided. My template uses 4-panels and size of the panels don't match the boxes. Is it okay to turn in what I have? Or will I be disqualified?

i accidently submited the wrong file first and it was cut off so i resubmitted the correct picture. At first they were both there, but now i only see the one thats cut off. anyway i could fix this issue?
