Community tournament support levels up

TLDR: We’re releasing an update to the Community Events pages today that makes community-run tournaments easier to create, easier to find and easier to run. Read on to learn more!

Whether you play League to satisfy your competitive cravings or to just relax and have some fun with friends, taking part in community-run tournaments makes League enjoyable in a whole new way. This latest site update makes finding and getting together with like-minded League aficionados easier than ever.

The first thing you’ll probably notice, besides the shiny new graphics, is how easy it is to find the events you’re looking for. Use the filters to find the type of tournament that fits your style and location and click Register. There’s another step or two, but it’s pretty much that easy.

Check out the updated site and sign up for a tournament or create some new events of your own today!

I join one of these communities and a couple months later they botched a prize pool, so they ended that community and made a new one... my friend was on the receiving end of this botched prize pool and still has not gotten his full reward. I also have proof of harassment to some of the people in the community and I think the way they handled things were very strange and yet somehow they were able to hand out prizes all the time and have regular tournaments.

If you are just going to give this power of running a community to some random people to manage money and to hand out prizes, maybe checking up on them should be another priority.

Many of these communities just ban you for being a "smurf" with no talking to or warning or anything(I wasn't even smurfing i just had good games) and give Riot a bad name when they do a bad job. I also suggest checking on on them undercover or something like that.

They've been doing Community tournaments for a LONG LONG LONG time they only did this new page and are promoting them now that they are lowering prizing and making all tournaments go to pre-registration http://boards.na.leagueoflegends.com/en/c/esports/wGjBy44j-letter-to-riot-community-prized-events-feedback there's the full thread. They are lowering prize payouts from 40k to 5k RP. full story there.

You are asking people to pre-register without the site working correctly yet. Absolute Gaming is already approved for MULTIPLE tournaments using the new system although we are not listed. Here is an example of one. http://i.gyazo.com/ad9631a8f6e335976cfbb42a2562dbd1.png

How are we supposed to ask people to pre-register when your site isn't listing communities correctly if at all?

One slight recommendation for improvement: add a filter by map type.

Can you make it searchable by Map and by Time? So many of the tournaments are at 4pm Pacific and almost all of them are on Summoner's Rift.

I'd like to be able to search for tournaments that start after I get home from work at 5:45 Pacific.

Also I'm a big fan of Twisted Treeline and Crystal Scar- Being able to search for those would be a big help

There should be a requirement to include tournament time as well as date. Some of us work during the night so tournaments during the day are better.

Please convert the Date to a LINK! It only currently shows the same 6 tournaments and it limits the exposure of all other tournaments happening during the same day. The filter at the top is nice and it helps but nowadays when people read the TL;DR on paragraph long post, asking them to do that to find other tournaments asides from the 6 big ones that run all day, everyday, is near impossible.

I've noticed that almost all the tournaments happen at the same time 7-8pm est. Where can someone on the west coast WITH A JOB go play???????
