The 10-Year Anniversary of League of Legends is nearly upon us, and we're planning a celebration for all of you who've built this game together with us.

Be sure to mark your calendars for Tuesday, October 15th for the kickoff of the League of Legends 10-Year Celebration.

Rioters around the world will be spending the whole day celebrating with streamed activities and digital experiences. Many of our regional offices are also planning in-person events and activities. Check your local League of Legends channels on 10/15 to discover what's happening in your region. We look forward to making this a special day with you!

And don't forget to tune in for the main event: starting at 6 PM PDT there'll be a livestream showing of the 10th Anniversary Edition of Riot Pls. Among other things, we'll be sharing a first look at this year's SR preseason update and TFT's "set two" content.

Here are just a few of the things planned in North America! All times PDT.

  • 10 AM - Rioters worldwide kick off a day of celebrating with you - in game and across digital platforms.
  • 2:30 PM - League and TFT showmatches airing live Twitch and YouTube
  • 5:30 PM - League 10-Year Celebration pre-show hosted by Dash
  • 6 PM - Riot Pls: 10th Anniversary Edition

For anyone who can't make the livestream, we'll be sure to share VODs out after the show.

Wow, 10 years goes by fast. Riots come a long way, from dota All-Stars, to league, from blitz q tele into base bugs, to heim blocking waves and unleashing floods of minions, from runes and trees to runes (rip full crit damage page), to infinite flash, from custom games of aram made by fans to an actual aram mode, from the crystal scar map to URF, from 1 new champion released biweekly that deals "a ton of damage", to all sorts of unique remakes and interactions, from invisibility to stealth, from infinite wards, pink eye and no trinkets, to the support items and system we have now, from ie to stormrazor to ie again (thank god), from ninja tabi dodge to lethality, items like heart of gold and medreds bloodrazor, from wraiths and golems to crugs toads, and raptors (shout out to wolf camp, they are og), and scuttle, from Dragon been a team gold boost the the crazy stat stacking drakes we have now and herald, from having 1 central work place and network to having many set up all over the world. Good job guys, ive been along for the whole ride, and I'm proud of you. But if mejais can still be a thing, can we please get sword of the accult back? I miss that item... But seriously, I know you cant make everyone happy and you get a lot of flack for not listening to your fan base but I really feel like you guys do your best to please all. Again, good job and congratulations! I know I'm missing some so please comment some nostalgic things of riots past!

Nice, I've been playing since early, early beta (user ID: 2352). Been following the changes with League of Legends and Riot Games since even before that. Crazy to see how far things have come and changed and evolved over the years.

After 9 years of playing this game, I can honestly say I've been through quite a bit I remember old items like heart of gold, madred's (I miss those) and wriggle's lantern, the old black cleaver and the dodge on tabi along with dodge runes for jax lol... point being it's been an amazing 10 years of league all the changes have been insane I even saw the birth of the other regions and migrated my main account to LAN kept this one on NA but didn't really play on it too much until now. Thank you Riot for making this game what it is today it really helped me cope with some bad stuff in my life as I met new people and made new friends.

Hell yea. Been along for the ride since all the way back when TPA won worlds. I joined this game when I was 7 years old. When I was 7 I travelled to California with my dad to go and hang out with family. Among one of those family members was my cousin, Calvin. I saw Calvin on this really neat and big looking pc and saw him playing the old TT map. I thought the game looked dope as shit and asked dad if we could download it when we got back. When we got back I downloaded the game and played it in his old blue subaru outside of the local target. I only had a trackpad and no mouse so playing the tutorial was fucking stupid and funny looking back at it, I vividly remember thinking the level up bars were health packs and I hadn no idea how to launch ashe's volley. Eventually my dad got into the game with me and we started playing. Over the past 7 years(now Im 15) league has been a huge part of my life. I've met dozens of friends, strengthened my relationship with my dad, and even had a few friends join along the way. It's been a wild ride, from shitty old Aatrox coming out to unbalanced ass Akali. I give the game a lot of flack just like everyone else these days but from the bottom of my heart, all the way down there, is nothing but love for this game. Thank you Riot games for giving me friends, relationships, and moments that I can hold onto until the day I die. Thank you League Of Legends.

It'd be really cool if (as someone that joined around year 2-3) I could go back to a League wayback machine and play older patches with my friends. IDK how hard this would be to implement.

I don't know if it's just me, but this sounds pretty underwhelming for a 10 year anniversary. The "Main event" is a anniversary edition of a show I don't think I've ever been interested in watching, and....tbh None of this is really that exciting. Maybe it's just because this is the "kickoff" to it but it sounds pretty underwhelming to me.

Ok so wait, it says regional offices may have in person events and to check local League of Legends channels. What does that mean? Isn't this the only way to get League of Legends news? The offices don't have their own websites.

Instarted this game before i knew what gaming truely was, it started with me when i was just starting out truly growing up. It i was evicted so many times from the time i started, but i always found a way to see the champ spotlights, i always found a way to try and see the events, insat in cold public librarys at 5am with 350ping or higher just to see league of legends, waited hours apon hours to instal the game on every new computer, iv installed and uninstalled out of anger at least 10 times but have come back. And now im on my own with my own family and this game has been with me throgh it all. THANK YOU RIOT FOR PROVIDING A WONDERFUL GAME. THANK YOU LEAGUE OF LEGENDS COMUNITY FOR THE GOOD FRIENDS MADE, THE GOOD TIMES SHARED, AND THE GREAT MEMORIES ALONG THE WAY!

Congrats on the 10 years riot. You’ve done some good work, and I appreciate it. However....don’t think I DIDN’T NOTICE what u did to my boy Kayn. You removed him from the picture with Lux, Ekko, and replaced him with ANNIE. Yes I know, this is a ridiculously little issue.... but he deserves to be on the League client page. Kayn mains rise up with me.....
