Upcoming changes to League Partner chromas

We wanted to give a quick update on content in the League Partner Program! So far, we’ve been so happy to see many creators giving away codes for Infernal Amumu (he needs some new friends), and we’ll be releasing a new Partner chroma soon.

When we set out to grant League Partners exclusive monthly content, we wanted to provide creators a way to grow their audience and get visibility on their channels, as well as sending them another meaningful way to give back to their communities.

With that in mind, we’re making a couple of changes to accommodate hardcore collectors and fans of the color green:

  1. We’ll be adding all League Partner Program chromas to the Blue Essence Emporium following the same timing rules as other chromas, for a cost of 10,000 BE per chroma.

  2. The “But Why?” Odyssey Sona emote (which was not part of the League Partner Program, but did have roughly the same rarity) will also be added to the BE Emporium for 25,000 BE.

Partner chromas remain exclusive to content creators for a while, but we’re adding a guaranteed way to unlock them later if you miss out on giveaways.

The next Blue Essence Emporium featuring these items will hit around midseason 2019, and all future Partner chromas will be added to a future Blue Essence Emporium offering.

  • Partner chroma released from January - June: End-of-year BE Emporium
  • Partner chroma released from July - December: Following midseason BE Emporium

We hope these changes give everyone a chance to get the content they want while still preserving its exclusivity for Partners. As ever, please give us your feedback on this change.

Oh, and one more thing… we’re happy to announce that November’s Partner chroma is Program LeBlanc! As a reminder, LPP codes grant the champion AND the skin if you need them. Check out NA’s League Partner lineup over here.

Good change. Now if only you can move that on to borders and Ruby / Golden chromas. The exclusivity and other ridiculous restrictions are destroying the game.

Thank you riot, it took me almost 10 hours of non stop stream stalking to get the sona emote and I was not planning on doing it again for any future emotes or chromas.

I'm out of touch with BE Emporium updates, but will event content that's since fallen out of the shop be there? Hoping to pick up the You Look Familiar emote in particular since I was a broke bitch during the Bilgewater event.

Why are most of the partner program skins green? That seems kind of unfair for people who like the color green and can't really participate in the program.

I still have no clue what this Post/News is all about? What is League Partner Program? Also what is End of season blue essence emporium? Is it like the same thing that happened like a year or two ago where you can buy like Urfwick, wards, chromas, etc?

I would like the IP to be reverted because BE is just a HUGE grind to get champions or later on these chromas. Before it was fun to get that first win of the day/play games and get IP after each victory or defeat.. with chromas going at 10K BE to about 25K BE? Thats way too much..

Riot, if you actually read this (doubtful), I wish there were more items that could be purchased with BEs. I do not own all the champions, but I only play a select few and I have accumulated a lot of BE. I do not need any more rune pages, I don't care to purchases any more champions. My suggestion, how about letting us purchases "low quality" (skins with no special backs/skill modification/interaction) skins for BE...say 25,000 BE. Such as Warrior Princess Sivir, Buccaneer Tristana, or Renegade Talon(Not 100% sure if he has any "special" backs/interaction/etc. I think you get my drift. I'm still positive Riot isn't going to read this. I would love a response, wont happen though.

While im glad youre taking a more realistic approach to this, the BE costs are way too high. Youre pretty much excluding anyone who doesnt already have every champion they want for an item that is nearly unobtainable through other means.

If youre going to make the BE cost so insane for items that shouldnt be as exclusive as they are, i feel youd find better results changing how the partner program distributes the skins. Giving 10 codes to 1 person who gets tens of thousands of views simply isnt going to work. Giving them a code that is redeemable multiple times would be better, even if you need to own the skin to use it. Or at least make it realistic. A 1/1000+ chance is not realistic, youd be better off playing mega millions.

The chromas shouldnt feel exclusive, or really be exclusive. It should be fun and enjoyable for people. Something like prestige kaisa that you have to earn yourself can be exclusive, as its open for anyone to get if they want to invest the time. Its not a random lottery.

Most icons are available in the box, even legacy or limited ones!

So, I had a look around in the client: Turns out icons like the Season 3 Challenger icon (and every other ranked icon) is classified as limited.

Five months late to the party, hopefully, this may get seen. Will the golden chromas from events ever come back? I have every skin for Xin Zhao, but missed the Chinese New Year event so I am only lacking his golden chroma!!
