With the release of Kindred, riot has released 2 new awesome looking icons, but alas they have to be purchased with RP. I'm sure at one point Riot mentioned that we would be able to purchase icons with IP or earn them.

Fair enough team icons should be bought with RP seeing as you're actively supporting that singular team, but for stuff like this we should be able to get them with IP or get them if you meet certain conditions.

For instance if you purchase Kindred within the first week of release you should get the icons free, or if you buy the project skins first strike, you should of got the icon with those as well. Even if its something as simple as play the champion within the first week to unlock the potential to buy the icons with IP, it would make a load of people happier.

TLDR; Let us purchase icons with IP!

Edit: WOW I got misunderstood... I was agreeing as to this they are not sold with a very high price. Might as well make them able to buy with IP

Yeah, but just think $5 x10000+ people. its still a hell of a lot for something so minuet, but i suppose at the end of the day they are just an organisation, who still has pay its employees.

Their not an organization, their a company btw. Companies work for a profit, organizations do not necesarily work for a profit. 5X10000+ ppl plus everother skin, icon, ward, champion, and other merchandise real or not. So its not like their going broke or something.

The icons aren't in the bundle either. so you'd have to buy them separately that way as well.

It's actually a huge barrier to entry if you don't play 24/7 or come from pre-season one. I've been playing from the pre-season, and I still don't have them all (granted I'm easy to tilt so I won't play more than a game a day usually, and that's not even on every day)

I just bought Kindred with IP, I had about 15000 IPs initially but after the purchase, all of sudden all I've got left was less than 1000 IP. I think it costed twice as much it was supposed to. Anyone having the same issue?

yes I've had that problem with RP purchases. don't worry it should reset to the correct amount after you've played a game. kind of annoying but don't freak out about it.

When you log into leagueoflegends.com, click the small arrow next to your name at the top right, click PBE and the rest with be simple from there. After you submit an app, Riot will need to see if they need more testers and see if you're worthy of PBE greatness. Few are chosen, all must live and die by the cause. (oh btw you sell your soul to get in.....or was that when you signed up for normal league?...)
